Good Option over OEM
Part arrived as described with gasket.Mated well with new aluminum water pump.Senor connection better then OEM.Easy installation overall; hose clamps help getting the hose off and on.Just installed 2 days ago at time of writing.

Great Improvement
I have put two water pumps on my daughters car. The first time I used the GM-Delco plastic thermostat housing. It cracked again after 35k miles. This aftermarket aluminum thermostat fit perfectly and felt very sturdy when tightening. It has had no leaks or issues for 250 miles. I am impressed with the upgrade from plastic. Hopefully never have to buy another.

Temperature sensor is faulty
After changing out to this thermostat, car (1.4l Turbo) threw up Code 89 persistently. Temperature gauge took longer than usual to reach its usual operating position. Turns out the sensor inside was faulty (according to my mechanic). If you want to upgrade your plastic housing, keep the original sensor and swap it into this aluminium housing.
