I'm a old-school bird so I needed an adapter for my new phone so I can listen to my Spotify. I purchased another one that had a small like wire attachment which works great but is too long when I walk fast and the earphone wires get knotted. I found this adapter on a random search and too a chance. It works GREAT! Is sturdy but be cautious when you pull it out from the phone. Sound quality is great too. I use Sony earphones. Best part is that the adapter is so compact it fits perfectly in my pocket when attached to the phone and is easy to store in my little crossbody purse.

Great solution for my running headphones! The long adapters kept getting kinked in my elbow while on my arm for running. This has eliminated that issue and works great so far. I love this design. Not sure why Apple doesn’t make them like this.Update 07/2022: After almost 2 years, it has stopped working reliably. It will give the error that it’s not compatible. Not every time, but enough to be annoying now. Leaving my review as-is and just ordered a replacement.

I’ve been using this a week or so and love it. It’s stable in my phone, iPhone earbuds work perfectly. Even able to adjust volume from my earbuds without using phone volume control. The prior adaptor wouldn’t allow volume control from the earbuds. Definitely recommend

Original review 1 star: The adapter worked well in the beginning with iPhone. Able to hear clearly with headphones and then 2.5 months later the adapter just stopped working during use. At the most the adapter was used once a week. The adapter wasn't dropped or mishandled. In fact it's usually placed on my night table when not in use. I tried contacting the seller regarding the warranty but to no avail. Highly recommend not to purchase this item.Update 12/7/22:Soon after I submitting the review, the seller contacted me and offered to send a replacement. Great CS! Thank you. Changing the rating from 1 star to 4 star.

It is nicely built. It is a bit expensive though.

I switched from a different model with a fine cord attached on the outside when I realized they do not last very long. It is disturbing when you think you are the only one listening, but you wake up your wife because the loud speakers are blaring away with the earbuds plugged in.It is too bad Apple has decided to do away with the reliable 3.5mm round audio jack on their devices.

Bought the older version (see picture) of this product years ago and still use it every day. It is a great product. I bought another one this year as a gift but noticed the adapter was lighter and smaller, it failed to connect properly a lot and was all around inferior to the previous version. The older version was heavier and the plastic part were the lightning connector sits was longer which made it possible to use with thicker phone covers. In all a great idea but they should definitely go back to the original design.
