Good product
I've used this on my guitars and other wood items. Excellent finish that adheres great and smooth!

Great product if you know what you’re doing.
It is an excellent gloss except it kind of freaks you out when you apply it. I was using this to add a finishing coat to a sword I made. When I put it on, it had an ugly white sheen to it, but after five minutes of drying, it cleared up. If you put on an overly thick coat of it, it will dry WITH the ugly white sheen and it will stay. So just add super fine coats (5-15) and you will get a hard, glossy, and beautiful finish.

Good stuff.
Mohawk makes amazing products. This went on smooth and transparent. It’s the only lawyer that I have used where I didn’t actually have to sand it to get a smooth finish. It buffed out nicely with no orange peel.

Guves an absolutely flawless finish and blends nicely for touch-ups.
I have always been a Watco Lacquer user but as of recent I have had some disappointing results with their product. Most recently, their spray nozzles have been disappointing laying down uneven coats and leaving craters where large droplets landed. This product has won me over. I love the way this product flows out as smooth as glass with little or no orange peel. I can skip the final cut lightly buff by hand for a smooth as glass finish. For lacquer or polyester/polyurethane touchups, it burns in, flows out and blends perfectly with edge. The attached pics are as-painted, no wet sanding or buffing. Unbelievable.

Find a spare nozzle
Mohawk is a very trusted brand with positive reviews and this was not my first purchase of this lacquer. This one had a very bad nozzle and sputtered constantly. The finished piece finally came out good but only after 3 hours of wet sanding, on a 28" square piece of flame maple.

Great Product
I used this instead of then Stewmac product and it was just as good at half the price.

Good lacquer, poor nossel
So this is an excellent lacquer for an instrument. Dries hard and fast, and buffs out great. However, the spray nosel on these suck. It is a circular pattern which makes it tough to get good wet coats for your final coats. Lots of wet sanding to flat. Not to mention I pulled a muscle in my forearm pressing the nossel lol. Used to lacquer an acoustic guitar build. Once I get a compressor setup, I will use this lacquer on my builds. Just not the rattle cans. Minwax has the nossel thing figured out.

Dries fast and resists running
Worked perfectly for my application, guitar body, with paint and vinyl stickers on it. Went on smoothly and evenly, no runs despite a pretty heavy coat to get a nice gloss and dried super fast. Left a nice durable finish. Pretty glossy too after a little buffing with a light waxing. Would buy again!
