Great Gift Idea
My daughter-in-law works with all types of hand stitching and repairs. She'll like this tool as it looks well-made and evidently works as advertised.

Easy to sew thick materials or materials cannot bring to machine!
Precision Quilting Tools Speedy Stitcher Sewing Awl: This awl is easy to set up, the spool is stored in the upper handle. The provided waxed thread is thick, but it still moves freely from the spool through the awl to the needle. The needles are sharp and will go through thick material such as layers of vinyl or leather. Great way to repair items that are too thick to be sewn even on my heavy duty machine or cannot be brought to the machine, such as some of my riding and driving tack or upholstery. Much easier than using a heavy needle by hand. Great for taking along camping in case there is a need for a quick tack repair. Comfortable handle and well-constructed.

A must have on sailboats
Great for punching through thick material. It’s not quite as speedy as you might think but sure beats getting out the heavy sewing machine and sometimes you just want to make a repair in place. This works just fine.

Needle broke during first use
I bought this to repair tug toys for my dogs. The very first attempt at a repair, the needle broke off in the tug toy.

Great little tool !
I have never used one of these but I had seen others use them. It didn't have instructions so I looked it up and am in the process of teaching myself how to use it. It is well made and I like the feel of the wooden handle. It seems to be well make and the sturdiness makes it possible to use on even leather.I think the price is reasonable and I would recommend this stitcher awl to others.

Works just as it should!
This is one of those tools that you didn't know you needed until you learn how to use it. It's basically a way to hand-stitch tough materials, like leather, canvas, etc. This combines an awl (hole puncher) with a stitcher, so you can join or repair seams on durable items, like shoes, backpacks, sails, etc.The techniques are easy to learn and I suggest you watch a couple of videos online for directions on HOW to stitch. This particular stitcher is manufactured in China, it works totally fine, and it's a nice tool to have on hand for when you need it!

Heavy Duty Hand Stitcher
This is a heavy duty hand stitcher. It comes with a straight and curved needle. There is a bobbin in the handle that you wind waxed thread onto. You route the thread through a hole in the side of the handle, wrap it around a button/tack and then down through the needle. Once you pass the thread through the material, you pull the needle back using thumb pressure over the thread to keep it from being pulled out when you withdraw the needle. There are some differing stitch patterns that can be used. This is one of those tools that when you need it, you need it.
