This elegant and reasonably priced smoker cocktail set is beautifully constructed and presented such that it would be a thoughtful gift. The torch light is compact and elegantly made; I appreciate the placement of the ignition handle and the color of its golden tint. The bottom of the torch is flat and this makes it easier to be filled with and kind of butane can whether the one with short or long tip, keep in mind that butane is not included so make sure to buy one in advance while whiting for your delivery, there is a little latch around the filling valve that can be raised and rotated to adjust the flame.The wooden smoker is well made, and the lid seals the top completely. The bottom has a few small holes that allow smoke to escape into the glass, the smoker fits most whiskey glasses. There are two mesh filters included, and they got some weight and thickness.There are six flavored wooden chips in the box, each one neatly stored in a tin can with a lid that is easy to open and close. Two metal ice cubes, a small spoon, and a cleaning brush were also included in the box. Once the torch is filled with butane, all you need to do is bring a glass of your preferred whiskey and enjoy a smoky drink.

I've bought several of these and have to say this one is up there with some of the best.you want one that is circular and wide enough. the hexagonal ones don't cover the glass. this is goodyou also want large homes in the bottom to let the smoke into the glass. again, check for this one, nice large holes.oyou want a good solid screen (check), an easy to fill and use lighter with a strong flame (check) and 6 bins of chips instead of 4 (check)added bonus here is the price, the metal cocktail cubes and the spoon. ( it that important, but still nice to include)really pleased with this. I ly downside i found is the bottom of the disc is rounded off so it doesn't sit flat on the cup - tends to shift a little- but that's super minor since it doesn't really move anyway.also, it fits a standard glass rocks glass, but there are wider ones out there that can fit bigger glasses (I use a yeti tumbler while camping for instance) and this won't be wide enough there.again, probably not an issue.and the price here is stellar.click it!

The wood chips and cover are great, but the butane torch doesn't work. Thankfully, I had an old one in the drawer from a competitor's kit.

I actually ordered this because I love smoky teas and wanted to up the smoke on some, and this does that!I love all the different woods, they're very distinct.I haven't had any issues with wood getting into my drink, but I will say there's a learning curve for sure, I didn't leave enough room at first I think and didn't get enough smoke.The torch is my favorite part. I got butane at my local hardware store and it does a great job! I've actually ended up using it all over, from creme brulee to lighting candles to its actual use lighting the wood chips for this.The ice cubes are a little funny, 2 isn't enough to do anything, but it does make this a cute little gift set and I'm glad I ordered it.

Honestly, it's much better than I expected. I'm not sure if that's the result of low expectations, an incredible product, or both. But, it's great. The heft of the torch is good with a really nice and satisfying ignition mechanism. The wood "top hat" that holds the chips is well made sits flush holding in the smoke. Functionally, it was perfect.If I have a complaint, it's that I suspect the wood chips are poor quality and possibly not even the correct type of wood. I didn't deduct a star because that's easily replaced with higher quality wood chips; what I needed truly was the torch and the "top hat". Both of those are great.Note, it ships without butane due to federal regulations. You can get this at Walmart or pretty much any local hardware store for under $4.

This was a good smoker for cocktails and to infuse other spirits. It came with 6 flavors and the presentation in the box makes this a nice thoughtful gift to give to that “hard to find something for” kinda guy. The tins the wood came in stays shut securely also. The wood flavors were nice and distinguishable. They didn’t all taste the same when used.

There are probably better sets of this caliber out there. I had to do a ton of finagling to get the torch going, which didn't make me feel good about the set overall. It just feels very cheaply made. Has weight to it, but still feels cheap. The chips aren’t very aromatic at all and don’t lend a lot in terms of flavor. You can barely smell them. The rest of the kit seems pretty decent quality. It came packaged well with a good presentation, so I do give it high marks for that. If I were gifting this to someone else and the torch didn't work, I'd be incredibly embarrassed, so take from that what you will. Overall, 3 stars. Like I said, if you’re looking for a cocktail smoker, you could likely do better by coughing up a little extra money. If you’re looking for “gets the job done” at an affordable price, this is a decent one I guess.
