I received this laptop in just a couple of days from ordering. It was packaged very well and arrived undamaged and looking brand new, clean, no scratches. It took several hours to get all the Win 11 updates installed and set up, but it was well worth it. Very fast I7 processer and 32 gig of ram makes large files, photos and tasks just fly!I can certainly recommend Amazon and USA Computers to anyone looking for an excellent bargain and great customer service on a great Dell Laptop..

East to Setup, runs well. My only complaint was the product description insinuated that it comes with a 3 year dell warrenty, however seems that they are referring to the original warrenty. So after checking with dell there is only 11 mo left on the originally warranty. I believe the company could be a little more transparent on how that works.

Looks brand new, even the bottom, no scratches at all. Set up was easy. This 7430 Latitude has two USB-C type ports one on each side that also can be used to plug the laptop charger into. Has one standard USB port and one standard HDMI port. It has a space for a Micro SD card but not installed. Touch screen is a nice feature! Very happy with the purchase. I feel like I got brand new laptop for more half off.

I've had this laptop for several days now and couldn't be happier. Absolutely looks and functions as a brand new model at 2x the cost, and it's fast! I recently left my corporate job and returned a Latitude 5440 this week so bought this for my new personal laptop, and this 7430 is next level performance. 100% happy.FYI - I had purchased another refurbished 7430 (exact same as this one) 1 week ago and wasn't as happy with it, the trackpad was a little 'loose' and didn't function quite right, but it was quickly/easily returned and I ordered this one as the replacement. All that to say ... be flexible about refurbished models, but with easy return policy there's little risk and ultimately I now have a great laptop at significantly less than brand new price.

I turned the computer on, and I was asked to log into ABInBev’s company system. This laptop was NOT wiped before it was sold. This is a significant oversight for your company, a security risk for ABInBev, and inconvenience for me. Spent an hour on the phone with Dell Costumer Service trying to reboot/wipe the system, but they cannot assist because they are not responsible for the wiping.The machine appears to be in excellent condition, but it is utterly useless

I like almost everything about this laptop, and I'm keeping it. The renewed price was right, and my unit looks brand new.But the three I/O ports: USB, USB-c and HDMI are all on the right hand side, together with one of the two power ports, where anything connected to them is apt to interfere if you are right-handed and prefer a mouse.This problem can be overcome by placing the laptop on an elevated stand and routing cables toward the back. Even a few inches is enough to keep cables out of your way. But the monitor can only be tilted back just a bit past right angles to the keyboard; it won't tilt back as far as you want it to when using a slanted stand that angles the keyboard for comfortable typing.This is the only laptop I have encountered with such a limitation and is the reason why I deducted a second star.Cords are not a problem if you're left-handed, or like to use an integrated touch pad. If you use the ports much, you might want to add protectors to them, because losing one means a trip to a good repair shop unless you're quite handy.The USB-c port provides both power and signal to an external monitor.The integrated touch pad is less annoying than any I have used, but it is still prone to suddenly relocating the insert caret while I am typing, due to incidental contact with my wrist or one of my three thumbs. If you are experienced with integrated touch pads, I think you will like this one. It felt good to me, and maybe I'll finally train myself to keep my hands elevated, but for now it's disabled while I use a mouse.The RAM is soldered in and you can't easily add more later. Go for more than you think you'll need: The max is 32 GB. RAM rarely goes bad, but if it happens your best option will be to buy a new laptop. Replacing the MB will cost several hundred dollars plus labor. You could learn how to solder and remove solder for less, maybe. Anyway, it would be more fun.The backlit keyboard has some funky FN combinations, but that's par for small laptops. Also par, the keys are flat and not dished. The keystrokes are short and the light, slightly bouncy tactile feedback is reliable, so you can type fast. It has good rollover; hitting multiple keys at once inserts all of the characters.Dell has a rep for working with Linux. I installed several varieties of Ubuntu. It has the hardware to run Kubuntu, but I finally settled on Xubuntu because I like the simplicity of the little desktop environment that could.The battery reports five hours available when 96% charged in performance mode, but lowering the brightness of of the monitor and reducing the refresh rate to 48 increased it to nearly 12. You don't need a high refresh rate with any modern display. They do not flicker. The worst that happens is that animations may be less smooth and the strobe images of a fast-moving mouse cursor are farther apart. Turning animations and compositing off will also increase battery life. The keyboard illumination turns off when you are not typing, but you can turn it off altogether if room lighting is adequate.The BIOS is just wonderful, with the latest security features as of 2023. But you'll discover the real treat when you use F12 to get to the boot menu: a complete set of hardware checks, RAM, SSDs, and every important part of the laptop. I don't mind saying that I burst into tears.
