Great mats, easy to clean

I used it on both sides of stove. I have butcher block counters.

First shipment lost in transit because of a major storm. Re-ordered and received the item in a timely manner. Charcoal color is easy on the eyes while working on projects (and actually makes a nice background for photographing small items). Excellent quality, perfect thickness. Stays in place. We have a number of these silicone mats in a variety of sizes to protect countertops and project spaces and we love them.

This mat stays in place on my smooth wood table very nicely. It's great for soldering. melted dripping solder doesn't affect it a bit, with my iron at 700F (probably won't handle the iron though)I use some of it under my air fryer, euro oven, and espresso maker. It holds all of these nicely in place. Very nice for keeping the espresso machine in place when removing the charging handle. Very nice for keeping the ovens in place when my retrievers perform the daily covert countertop inspection.

These things are the devil I tell you. You sit there and clean up your house, wipe off all the counters, they all look good and the next day they still look great. Yeah, well let me tell you about how these things show you that we are all beginners in the cleaning industry. Everything shows up on them. I mean everything. So when you think your counter is clean, next thing you know you got a mess all over the mat.As far as putting hot item on it without effecting your counter, seems to work fine. I have had no problems putting boing hot pots on them.Even though they show you every crumb you have in your house they are pretty dang easy to clean. Is it worth it though? No probably not. I can put a pot on a cutting board whenever I want. I would have the same color counter and not mats. But to each their own!

I had new laminate kitchen countertops installed over 3 years ago, and covered them with both heavier shelf liners and ribbed silicone mats, and they’ve worked well, although not the nicest of looks. I happened to see this product recently and think they are worth their price. Looks SO much better! They were very easy to cut to size. I will still exercise caution insofar as placing hot objects on them because I’m not sure how heat-resistant my countertop is, but I feel they are well protected from scratches and stains. One thing to be aware of - they are described as being slip resistant. If you have a small kitchen appliance on casters to make it easier to move around, the casters will be resisted by the mat and not roll. I decided to leave the mat off the counter where I have my stand mixer on casters because of this characteristic. But should the need arise, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this product again.

I had to buy more, one for each counter in my kitchen because I totally Love the first one I purchased. Is not thin, it feels strong and reliable; I got the first to protect a finished sealing on a countertop until totally cured and now I don't want to take them off! A simple moist kitchen paper is enough to clean it -and soap if oily- and it performed great even when I put on it the hot air fryer's basket. Items don't slide, the countertops are safe, made the kitchen usage more relaxed and easy since I'm not thinking in the possible damage I could cause to the countertops even with my most crazy experiments, not just cooking and baking -I'm a jeweler and use acids to oxidize, also make ceramics, ferment wines, dye bone, sometimes I even do some small wood projects among other things and yes, lots end being finished on the countertops and this mats will allow me to "have fun" without being concerned of possible damages.

This was the perfect mat to create an at home craft desk on the dining room table! Must have for transitional and shared spaces, and rolls up easy for storage. Sits FLAT and SECURE. No folds whatsoever, as noted in reviews for similar products. ! I love it!
