With a 10 month old Leonberger, I was slowly losing the will to live with the permanent water feature trailing through the house. I had tried several bowls, including the floating lid designs, but he always found a way around it to dunk his face in and trail water around the house.I'd seen the Slopper Stopper and desperately wanted to try it, however, I was skeptical of the price - £40+ for a water bowl? After a lot of umm'ing and ahh'ing (and convincing my husband that yes, it probably is worth the price and we should try it), and then waiting for it to be in stock in the UK... I am absolutely blown away. This really, truly works. It states it can reduce trails and spills up to 85% but I would go as far to say it's been 95% effective in our household. The only water we get is tiny, small drips from his mouth which is bound to happen.When it arrived, I was impressed by the size of the bowl and the instructions were very clear. I had no issues setting the bowl up, sorting out the magic science behind it and filling it up. My boy then had a blast trying to figure it out. The instructions suggested it can take some dogs a few weeks to get used to drinking as they're supposed to but after a day or two, my boy has gotten the gist and I can now actually see and measure his water intake as THERE IS NOT ANY WATER RESIDUE!If you're having issues with water bowls, this is absolutely the bowl for you. It was worth every penny and I am so pleased with it.I will absolutely be recommending this bowl to anyone who has any issues with their dog drinking from a bowl.

Tried lots of different bowls for my chow chows-by far the best! They don't get wet now and drip all over the floor and my feet!!

I bought the slopper stopper so my Leonberger would stop paddling in his water bowl about 2 weeks ago. It is a success, he does try but he just get a tiny bit of his paw wet and the bowl stays up and there is no water all over the room. He also drinks too fast and just doesn't swallow the water when he walks away from his bowl and this product has made a big difference.I had a little issue when the bowl arrived but Shannon and Chuck (business owner) went above and beyond to help solve the problem very swiftly. I have a already started to recommend it. Don't hesitate to order it if you have water monsters.

Didn’t know if this would work but had to try due to my Doberman getting water everywhere. It does work. Holds a lot of water and definitely makes them slow down to drink and keeps my floors dry. Only negative in my opinion is the price. Didn’t want to spend £40+ on a dog bowl

(It could be a 10, but unfortunately I lost the valve on the first week of use and now it doesn't work properly.)With the valve I can tell you that it's amazing, the best bowl ever. I would recommend for the seller that maybe could add a spare valve as it is very small and very easy to loose, specially with 3 dogs in the house that like to play with everything.I was also afraid of the size and the design but it fits both my chow chow and also my small french bulldog.(After contacting them by email, they just sent me a spare valve so now it works amazingly again! Thank you so much for the attention, this bowl changed my life)

Overall the slopper stopper works well - no spillage and our dog figured it out immediately.However, we need to really deep clean and air-dry it latest each 1,5 days cause by then the thing positively REEKS.

My 2 GSD’s drink habit have got so bad this year the floor was being cleaned 3 times a day, so really needed a solution. Saw the reviews and thought I was on to a winner, the bowl you really can’t fault, but it is far too over engineered for typical use. I have removed the finger valve and don’t use the plug there’s absolutely no need for them. I’ve used a sharpie to mark the idea full height and there you go, exactly the same results.Next thing is the seal on the lid, I’m looking for a softer seal to achieve the same results, to make the lid remove far easier.Buy at your own choice, I think it’s far to expensive, over engineered and there’s no option to buy a raised platform in the UK.

Excellent quality water bowl that stops the dogs splashing and digging in their water. No more cleaning up 3 or 4 times a day. The dogs now drink when they need water, and it is not a plaything. Previously more water was drunk / splashed than required. Really noticeable on the slowness the water level decreases and fewer trips to the toilet.We have the XSM model, several comments almost impossible to remove the lid without using something like a knife to prise the lid off. What is the finger valve for and how do you release it??? It seems to be a bit of over engineering; the dogs were fascinated at pulling the black valve out. The evidence is from the tooth marks in the plastic and on one occasion they did get it out and chew it into two pieces. Works fine without the valve.
