It is everything I expected and the quality is a lot better than I thought it would be. I do a lot of photo shoots on location and I don't use an assistant very often and I'm tired of my softboxes toppling over with my strobe attached to it on the outside but I've been fortunate that it has only happened where it landed on the softbox and ruining a couple of them in the process. I wanted a softbox that wasn't too big that a light gust of wind would have it fall over and most of all have my flashes or strobes inside of the softbox for the added protection. I also wanted something that could be assembled quickly and with fiberglass rods. This softbox checked all the things on my wish list and then some and I'm hoping that if or when my light stand decides to fall over that this protects my lights and if it holds up I'll be that much happier but at this price I won't be too bummed. I haven't used it with my strobe yet and I primarily bought this to go with a "INSEESI S Type Flash Bracket" that you can put up to 5 speedlights onto it and into this softbox though it is a snug fit and the reason I'm buying the 42" version of this softbox to use on days where it's not as windy or when I have an assistant. Although this isn't advertised as a parabolic softbox it resembles one and is a lot deeper than the average umbrella which creates a very flattering beam of light as opposed to going everywhere and is great for controlling the direction of the light.

I had a really hard time trying to decide on a softbox. I'm so glad I chose this one. It's the perfect size and really easy to put up and take down. Seems really well made and much cheaper than some other options.

First, let me say that this softbox gives AMAZING light. I used it for a portrait session and was shocked at how soft and even the light was. It did a great job of eliminating harsh shadows in mid-day light. Unfortunately, this particular model was made for a hot shoe flashgun which mounts on the light stand inside the softbox. That seems fine at first, but any good photographer will tell you that to match ambient light, you should adjust the power of your flash up/down to achieve best results. You can move the softbox closer or farther from your subject, but only if space allows (and it seems more often than not, it doesn't allow). The issue with this design is that you have to remove the honeycomb diffuser, remove the white diffuser, and slip a hand inside to feel for your power up/down buttons. I suppose some cameras may be able to control off-camera flash output via the camera itself, but my budget-friendly flash triggers and camera don't give me that option.Additionally, I found that my flash goes to sleep about every 60 seconds if I don't use it. Based on some research, that can sometimes be adjusted in your camera settings, but again, to wake your flash up, you'd have to remove the honeycomb diffuser, remove the white diffuser, and slip a hand inside to wake up your flash. Ended up returning this softbox and will have to buy the version where the flash is accessible via the back of the softbox and not inside if/when I feel like giving it another go.

I love the effect this produces! Very portable and easy to use. Thankfully I have Godox flashes and a Godox trigger, so I am able to control my flash power from the trigger on my camera. If I wanted to use it with a slave flash, it is hard to get to the control dials…but I don’t see that happening often. Great quality for the price!

I really like this softbox! It is super easy to set up. Opens with an umbrella mechanism and collapses just them same. You can keep the diffuser and the honeycomb filter on when collapsing it, but do need to remove the metal dome diffuser each time, which is simple to do. Just remove a piece of the honeycomb and white diffuser, extend the umbrella mechanism, add the dome diffuser, close the other diffusers again and you're done, less than one minute setup!

If you order go dox the original umbrella is so difficult to put together that you have to leave it together in order to fit around the bulb. So after using my umbrellas I thought that the goadocks that I ordered the umbrella would fit into the umbrella slot and offer the same thing however with the ability to fold the umbrella up and take it with me and travel and go. The stem of the umbrella is only 18 inches long.Will not fit around the go docks unit and can only be separately with a slave flash.I'm very disappointed in this product.
