First off it has a nonstandard compressor connector (might just be a metric thing see picture 1). But it came rusted (see picture 2) and the package was completely covered in black tape and the compressor connector is not the one advertised (notice the different color and angle from their picture).This product was obviously not new yet their post here makes you think you are getting something new.

Connection is a 1/2” hose barb, air hose slips over end and you need to add hose clamps. It needs a larger compressor. I used to backfill some pipe trenches under pavers. Worked well, purchased for a one time project.

This tool makes laying hardscape much easier. I was using a mallet before, and while it works fine, it’s tiring and makes my back sore. This was easy to use and worked wonderfully. It cut down the time spent lining my walkway with bricks.

To tell you the truth, I had never seen one of these, before I saw it on Amazon.I am currently working on a cobblestone path that leads to a little outdoor dinning and lounging patio. You can't imagine how many medium-sized river rocks it is going to take, the amount of work it requires, to pound these rocks into a special sand base, and make them all even and level.When I saw the Pneumatic Tamper on Amazon, I had to knell down and give a little prayer of thanks. Once again, you can't imagine how much work, sore muscles, back pain, and knee pain, this little gadget is going to save me from.What I'm basically going to do, is loosely lay out the rocks in 25 square foot sections; put a 2.5' x 1' steel plate on top of the rocks, and then pound the steel plate with the pneumatic tamper. All the rocks under the plate will be even and as level as is the steel plate. This is a much quicker and easier way to get the rocks in place, as opposed to pounding 2.5' long rows of rocks into the ground, by hand, with a mallet. Now you can see how valuable this pneumatic tamper is to me.This will be my first time I'm going to use the tamper on a project. Now that I've got one, I'm sure I will be using it on many other projects in the future. According to the information in the manufacturer's description, the tamper is already being used on projects for home, company, factory forging, smelting industry and construction work etc. for foundation filling and pounding, road maintenance, compacting foundry sand by impact, curing in the smelting industry, and also for brick making and concrete construction work. I'm sure that isn't even the half of it.Take a good look at this pneumatic tamper, and use your imagination, like I did. Sometimes there are tools that would be most helpful in the work you do, that you don't know you need.
