Surprisingly Solid for a Budget Punch Down Tool – Great for Home RJ45 Jobs
I’ve tried a few cheap IDC punch down tools in the past – including one from Screwfix – and most of them broke or came apart after just a couple of uses. I picked this one up not expecting much, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality.Even though it’s still on the cheaper end, it feels more robust and better made than the others I’ve tried. I’ve used it extensively for wiring RJ45 sockets around the house and it’s performed really well throughout. It’s comfortable to hold, hasn’t shown any signs of wear, and punches cleanly and reliably. For a budget tool, it’s definitely a step above the rest. If you’re doing home networking work and don’t want to overspend, this is a great value option that actually holds up.

Great tool. Works well after a little practice.
Used this while installing a hardwire ethernet cable to my study and loft. Takes a little bit of practice to begin with, but works well once mastered.

Cheap and cheerful.
Worked fine for the home project I wanted it for, but it's fairly flimsy and I wouldn't want to depend on it if I was doing this sort of job a lot. Still, can't complain, you get what you pay for.

WOrk fine
Works fine - I have a few of these in different tool kits. (Can never find one when I need it, but they are cheap enough to have spares)

Just a generic tool
Works perfect. There's 100 other clones of this available. Buy whatever is cheapest at your time of purchase IMO

The crimping tool doesn’t cut the wires like the video says
But overall it’s useful and you can just use wire cutters

Solid product, works flawlessly
I needed to couple some ethernet cables and this did the job perfectly with some inline couplers. They feel solid and got the cables into the pushdown slots with ease. Make sure you line it up right to get the cable clipped in the right place.
