I bought this battery because my laptop’s battery needs to change. But it was giving 2.5 -3.5 hours backup time ( approximately). But after using this battery i am having same backup like 3-4 hours. It’s not good in backup. Took my 3 hours for install.

I knew that I needed a new battery for my Mac Book Pro but did not want to take to Apple and pay their price. So, I researched batteries on Amazon and was surprised to find that there are plenty of kits available so you can replace the battery on your own.Let me make this clear - if you’re not comfortable with opening computers, working with electronic parts, etc., then do not get this kit!! You need to completely open your laptop, move some components away from the existing battery, remove the battery and then put the new one in, put everything back in place and then close up the laptop.The great thing is that if you're comfortable with working on electronics then you can do this. In the end you'll have a new battery which will be like a new laptop.This kit has everything you need except for alcohol which is needed to dissolve the adhesive on the existing battery. The product is very well packaged and when you open the box, there's an instruction sheet which has 46 steps with pictures for each step. If you take your time and follow each step, then you will not have any problems. Just don't try to rush the process. Follow the steps and all will be good.Like I said, everything is included in the kit, except for the alcohol. I used Isopropyl, which is basically rubbing alcohol. Mine was 70%, the instructions recommend 75%. Gloves, cloth, screwdrivers, plastic cards (crowbars) - all included.Set up an area on a table and if you have pets - keep them out of the room so no screws or parts get lost. Use a room that has plenty of light so you can see what you are doing. Follow the instructions and take your time. Depending on your experience and patience, you'll need a couple of hours to replace the battery. You want to be gentle with the parts because you could damage some things and then you will need Apple or some other repair shop to step in.So, if you don't mind tinkering with electronics and need a new battery, then go ahead and purchase this battery. Just make sure you order the battery for your laptop. Put in the correct model number on the search and you will be directed to the correct replacement. Order it, get your alcohol ready, and follow the instructions.There's also a card included with an address for service help and you can also register the battery so you get a 25 month warranty. Once the new battery is installed, you'll have to charge it but then your new battery will work like when you got the laptop. You'll be back to all day power instead of just a few hours (mine was down to about two hours prior to changing out).Lastly, if your computer is under any warranty from Apple, keep in mind that opening the laptop will void the warranty. Mine is old enough and warranty was expired so no issue for me. Just pointing that out.
