Using it for a shower curtain
I have an unusually small shower and a regular shower rod wouldn't fit in my space. I purchased this about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. I can't attest for it's rust-proof properties since it's only been a few weeks, but it has remained where I put it even after the tugging of the shower curtain.

What can't tension rods do???
Great for updating a closet when you discover your new apartment doesn't really have a coat closet! Used one of these (plus some brackets also on Amazon) to hang my winter coats on and it works great. Also have one under my kitchen sink to on which to hang bottles of various cleansers. They work great, great size for my needs, relatively unexpensive, and (at least with brackets) holds up a decent weight just fine. Also lots of other ways to use tension rods that can be found online.

It works perfectly!
I bought an old house, and the bathroom had built-in towel racks. Problem was that one of them was broken. Go figure, the previous owners had seven kids. I searched for a tension rod that could work in the built-in, and this one finally worked. The pictures show the tension rod I bought versus what the built-in looks like.

A little confusing at first because there were so many pieces for the size I ordered, six pieces. Only needed 3 pieces. Fit and looked perfect once the right pieces were put together. Thanks

Wrong size
No my bad - have to return them because they are too big for my area but good quality,

Works as expected
I have windows 2 to 4 feet wide and wanted to put up blackout curtains. They took a couple of minutes each to install with no drilling. I would buy again and recommend these rods.
