Q: Is this more energy drink or tea? I dislike all teas I have had but ok with most energy drinks. I'd probably try but need singles and right flavor :)

Yerba Mate comes from the naturally caffeinated leaves of a species of the holly tree found deep in the South American Atlantic rainforest. Yerba Mate leaves are hand harvested from small farms and indigenous communities in Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. After the leaves are dried and ground, traditionally a hollowed out gourd is filled with mate leaves and hot water then sipped and savored. While many steep similar to tea, it is not a tea and has higher caffeine levels as many energy drinks, we are an alternative to energy drinks offering an organic way to come to life. Guayaki sells the dried version but also has cans and bottles of ready to drink flavors in a variety of flavors.

So, I still really like it, but this flavor has been changed. It is not as strong. I was a bit disappointed. I really liked that strong ginger taste. Other than that, I’m generally happy with these products

Great product but breaking my bank

I absolutely love this product. The caffeine content is low but the drink gives good energy and not shaky energy just a calm mellow flow all day. It is really the only energy drink My husband and I like. We love the flavor, the organic ingredients and the low sugar. However, the cost is breaking the bank. I’d like to say more people would likely purchase these if the price point was .50 cents less per can. My husband and I drink one per day. Also, the fact that you can’t buy the drinks in a bigger pack than 12 is upsetting. Please make a bigger value pack or lower the price a bit. Otherwise, great product, just the right amount of bubbly and light subtle flavor.

A great alternative energy drink.

I've been drinking Guayaki brand Yerba Mate products since the early days when it was rare to find a store that sold them. I'm glad the popularity has increased to where I can buy 12 packs online instead of tracking it down at specialty stores and having to fill my cart with individual cans. Some of the flavors are high in sugar which can lead to weight gain. Though still sweetened, Sparking Grapefruit Ginger is lower in calorie count and by far my favorite flavor. Yerba Mate is a unique caffeine buzz that is more nuanced and subtle compared to main stream energy drink options. I love the product though if you get into it you might find yourself buying it frequently. I enjoy this drink very much. Definitely worth experimenting with the different flavors to find out which ones you like and which ones you don't. Yerba Mate is a cultural staple in many South American countries such as Argentina though they do consume it in a more traditional way. It is a beverage that has been by my side at many jobs and I've turned on quite a few friends to it.

Product is old and flat

I've been getting this regular delivery for a long time. Every once in a while the product is flat.Was delivered yesterday, opened one today. Does not have the carbonation it should. Taste bland and flat.
