Peace of mind
After a long NICU stay, this gives me peace of mind at night. I'm able to sleep easier knowing it will alert me if anything changes with my baby's vitals. I don't check it constantly. Just like knowing it's there Incase I need it.

I sleep better now!
As a new mother, I had lots of anxiety when it came to bedtime and this helped so much! It’s easy to use and I love how the app can tell me in real time what my baby’s heart rate and blood oxygen levels are. It can even tell me the quality of her sleep too. It’s a little costly but so worth it having a little extra monitoring!

Good But…
I wanted this sock so badly when I found out I was pregnant. Being a new mom, I was so terrified of going to sleep every night with my newborn. I really liked the idea of this sock, especially because it is so popular, but I quickly realized that it wasn’t the right choice for me and my baby. If my baby moved any throughout the night, the sock would become displaced and the alarm would go off. It plays the same alarm for emergencies as it does being displaced… so MEGA anxiety. The app updates you every ten minutes on the baby's stats, but it will go off in-between if there is any kind of emergency. I found this to give me even MORE anxiety. I could not get any sleep during the night because I was scared it would not alert me properly, and I would stay up to check the app every ten minutes. The app in itself is also very complicated. I tried to start a recording of his sleep cycle, made an uh-oh, and the app would not let me delete it. This effects all of the avg. data the app gives to you as feedback. Overall, the wearability & functionality is really what steered me to return this item. I ordered a different device that my baby wears on the front of his diaper and love it!! I just found the owlet to be too difficult.

Reliable
My son was sent home from the nicu on oxygen which is what drove my partner and I to purchase this. It was a bit pricey and there were used options but I figured once I use it for one child I can hand it down and use it for future children so it’s worth the one time purchase! This worked great easing my anxieties! And it wasn’t nothing my son wasn’t used to being he had much more cords and more pull socks on him. I will say I wish it was more accurate than taking an average based on a spans of 10 minutes. I would have liked to see her my sons oxygen stats were consistently instead of an average. To ensure his oxygen wasn’t dropping below a certain number especially when lowering his oxygen. I will say it was more comfortable than the pull socks the hospitals have but definitely need to keep up on those growing feet so you aren’t using a too small of a sock. Highly recommend for those that want to double make sure or have anxiety.
