Great flavour and easy to make
Another great homebrew kit, easy to make ( remember to keep your fermenter cosy during colder periods). The flavour is very clean and has a very pleasant bite, add a " dash " of Tequila for an extra zing!

Simple tasty and strong beer, perfect for students
This was such a simple process and created some pretty potent yet tasty lager, which was ideal for a student flat looking to save some money. It worked surprisingly well considering the temperature wasn't kept very constant as we simply used a brew bucket in an empty cupboard. The taste wasn't anything fancy but it was quite drinkable which is to be expected from a lager. We have since tried the European lager and I must say the consensus is that this was the superior choice. We didn't have a hydrometer but as a group of fairly experienced students (drinkers) we felt this was fairly strong, probably between 6-7%.The only downside would be that it was too simple if you really want to feel like you've crafted a beer yourself.

Looks like lager. Tastes like lager.
The media could not be loaded. I've been brewing for years; ales, bitters, porters, stouts, ipa etc. I'd never tried a lager as traditionally the fermentation is at a lower temperature for lagers. Thought I'd give it go as many of my friends are lager drinkers and sometimes I like a strong lager too if the weather is nice.I did 10 days in the barrel with 1kg of sugar and 20l of water. Managed to keep it at around 19oC. I bottled with 160g priming sugar (this is a lot). Sampled after around a week it was still sweet and too flat but you could taste the potential. Week two from bottling I'm tucking in and this is pretty good stuff. I sense it's around 5abv. Going to put some in the fridge and keep some others for a few more weeks conditioning. This is a good kit.

Four Stars
Seems like a good kit, 3 weeks after bottling has the subtle flavours of mexican lager.

Nice Lager
This is a good classic tasting lager. It’s gone down well with guests. Easy to brew, crisp and clear with good carbonation with Tate&Lyle 5mg per 500ml.

very easy to brew
This brew has been in my shed for approx. 5 weeks, very easy to brew, easy instructions. kept in 500cc plastic bottles, bought here as well. Tasted last night. 4 bottles gone , brilliant lager, great head, great taste with a nice lager bite to it, will definitely try this again.
