Good but needed "1/8 Inch NPT Female Connector and 8mm Male Plug Fill Nipple Quick-Disconnect Set"
UPDATE: This product works well except for the fact that the connections do not rotate, so the angle of the tanks in relation to one another when connected may not be ideal, especially if filling with donor tank inverted. The only option is to try to rotate the smaller tank but this will twist the hose which is very stiff and pulls at the connections.I purchased a "1/8 Inch NPT Female Connector and 8mm Male Plug Fill Nipple Quick-Disconnect Set" on Amazon and added that to the end of the hose before it connects to the small 60L tank with gauge. This allows me to now connect and disconnect the hose there as well as rotate the 60L tank 360 degrees freely around the hose for ideal positioning. I noticed this added connector on another identical refill adapter for sale and wonder why it seems to be left off of this one as it seems rather necessary. We used a typical 20lb CO2 without siphon tube to be the donor tank. We froze the small tanks as recommended. Since C02 is a liquid, this product will only work with a normal C02 tank (without a siphon tube) if the donor tank is inverted upside down. This allows the liquid to flow downwards into the smaller tank. One of us held the donor tank upside down on the table and the other worked this adapter valve to fill the small tanks. If someone is not available to stabilize and keep the donor tank from falling over, then a stand that can hold the tank inverted would be required. The other option is to have a tank with a siphon tube inside. Such tank can fill other tanks while in the upright position due to the siphon tube bringing liquid C02 through the tube (like a drinking straw) and out to the other tank. I do not think a tank with a siphon tube can be used for anything other than filling other C02 tanks. It would have to be a dedicated donor tank and cannot be used with a keg or directly connected to soda machine as the siphon tube would prevent it from releasing gas in the typical manner. It took less than a minute to fill the SodaStream tanks. I opened the valve very, very slowly. i only needed to turn the valve about 30 degrees for optimal filling. We were able to fill the smaller tanks almost completely adding very close to the additional 14.5 ounces. The gauge has a range that is highlighted green that lets you know when the tank is full. I found that very helpful to know where we were in the filling process. The online videos and product video review here was very helpful in understanding how this filling adapter valve works.

Works as intended!
Only filled 3 bottles with this so far but it has been flawless. Easy operation, no leaking, solid build.3 month update:I’ve used this for about 10 bottles now. Still works great. The large nut on this came slightly loose a month ago and I heard CO2 leaking from it, but a very slight tighten with a crescent wrench sealed it up. Hasn’t happened since.

NO Support to figure out how it works
Here's the thing SodaStream has been battling people who self fill for years since version one. I was really hoping this would work on second generation valves you see in the photo. Either I really just can't get it to work or it doesn't work.MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT is you can't reach the seller / manufacturer for support. I'd really like to know it doesn't work or if I am doing something wrong. I guess we will never know. IF only I could figure this out before my return window closes .. I can't so, back it goes. This is the valve I tried to fill. It is the second generation valve. It needs some type of finesse but it was too fiddley for my feeble brain to figure out. (IF it works) but again .. we shall never know

Great DIY refill tool for soda stream cylinders.
I’ve used this product twice to refill my two soda stream cylinders after watching a video another reviewer left on how to do it. I am a homebrewer so I have big cylinders of co2 already so it made sense for me to refill the soda stream cylinders myself. Do be careful. You can overfill the cylinders and it will leak and spray water when carbonating. Once pressure gets back to where it should be the soda stream device works properly. It took me about 4 cycles before it quit leaking water .

Only works on certain tanks, YMMV.
Stem is too short, only works on one of the four tanks I have.
