Needed this is in a pinch for Thanksgiving, shipping was quick, like day andl a half! We used it for a small outdoor space; two canopies pushed together with 3 sides enclosed. It was pretty light so we easily mounted it on a 2x4 and hoisted it up in the top corner. It put out the perfect amount of heat and didn't get hot in the back so we didn't need to worry about the vinyl canopy cover. It was also very quiet, no loud humming .We used this in maybe a 12x30 space and just on a small patio so I don't know how it performs in larger spaces but that would have to do with the particular spaces' insulation. Worked for our needs though.Have used it maybe ten times since and it still holds up just fine! Love this thing as I said it's light so it's easy to take it wherever we might need it, like camping this fall for our outdoor patio to our camper trailer.Would purchase again!

Barely know its on its so quiet .

This heater is just that a great heater . The mounting bracket could be sturdier , I tried to mount it on the wall in my gym but the bracket supplied with it is too flimsy , I recommend to mount from the ceiling.. great heater for little money

Excellent for small room

Save your money. This heater broke in every way possible after just several months of normal use.First, the very thin woven nylon string used to turn it on (by pulling) seemed to have dangled in front of the heat element while in use and then broke off entirely. Why would a heater of this type even have a nylon cord rather than a metal ball string? It hangs from the ceiling and there is no way to secure the string. Unreal.Anyhow… Very soon afterwards, while trying to figure out a method for securing what little length of string was left, I noticed that BOTH of the heat elements (glass tubes inserted into ceramic holders which are then held in place on the other side of the metal sides internally by metal clips) became disconnected and were just dangling by their electric wires.So, I opened the seemingly impossible to open metal sides. Discovered that the ceramic ends and their clips are simply inadequate, poorly designed, and in a way that could not possibly support or hold ANYTHING in place. Grateful that I this noticed before it caused my entire home and double garage to go up in flames.I put the heater into the trash where it belongs because I’d rather freeze than risk my life.

Bought this heater a couple months ago and wanted to use it for awhile before I submitted a review. Shipping was fast and it was packaged with care. Easy to install on my ceiling in my garage. It has a couple settings for heat and it also has a light. Know the light is not very bright or useful but I bought it mainly for the heat. It does heat up pretty good in my two car garage but I also have another heater similar to this one. Now if you’re looking to buy just one heater to warm up your garage you will need more than one. I have a garage gym and with the temps very cold I usually turn this heater on about two hours before I work out to get it in the 60s. If you’re looking for a heater I recommend this one!

Not being a forced air, but a radiant type unit..it was short in warming up around me.It also needs to either be on its own circuit, or the breaker needs to be upgraded to take the amp draw of this heater and whatever else that you need to plug into the same outlet...
