Had the same style protector for a Samsung phone and really liked it so, when I got a Google phone, I looked for the same one. I was able to find a “used, like new” and took a chance. Glad I did. Protector was in mint condition in a damaged box. Extremely easy to snap onto my phone. Comes with two covers…one with a built in clear plastic screen protector on the front and one that is open so you can either use it with or without a glass shield (sold separately). I’m using it with the attached plastic screen protector. Finger ID works perfectly. Great corner protection. Exactly what I wanted. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Only had my phone for 4 days and already dropped it on a tile floor from about 3.5 ft high. The case protected my phone, yeah and no marks on the case. I like the lines of this case better than the revolution series, but not sure about the clear back. It is nice to see the Google logo, but not sure about the finger smudges.I tried the included screen protector and although it fit well and looked good, it did seem to slow down the sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor, it did work. I like that the case came with the optional frame without the screen protector, so I decided to go that way with a glass protector.Case seems rugged and sturdy enough to handle all my DIY projects (home Renos) and my outdoor adventures.

Note: I'm writing this review based on a previous poetic case for the LG G8, and a week of using this new case. Construction and design is identical, though.Let's start with the negatives, because they're few compared to the quality of this case.1. The little charge-port protector flap, if you're like me and pick at it constantly, will probably fall off after about a year or so (then again, it's not totally necessary for the case to work well).2. The provided screen protector is not my taste and feels a little floaty/tappy. Though, they provide in the box 2 front pieces, one with and one without a screen protector (so you don't have to punch it out, like I did my last one).Now, onto the positives. This case will protect your phone. This case feels great in the hand. This case will go the its full life cycle without appreciably degrading in anyway. I have dropped, punted, tossed, chucked, burned, drenched, stepped on, slept on, and fallen down on this case. This case has seen showers, sinks, tumbles down stairs, tumbles down hills, the top of mountains, the dirt, lots of baking in the sun, and asphalt. All this for over 2 years. The phone in this case, albeit with an external, tempered glass screen protector, is 100% unscathed. No scratches, cracks, dents, nothing. Zilch. Nada. None. Still as clean and polished as from the factory. The only damage to speak of is a slight crack in the screen protector around the end of year 2, but the phone was totally fine. If you want a durable case, a fashionable case, a case that will make sure little Timmy doesn't destroy his new phone, this case (and Poetic cases in general) are great. Worth every penny.

Unlike other reviewers I'm not having any issues with this case. The fit is snug and the fingerprint sensor works perfectly. I can only assume some buyers didn't read the included instructions. You need to be careful when you install the protector as to not touch the spot where the sensor lives and have the area perfectly clean to ensure full contact. There's a specific order to the installation too so take the time to do it right.My biggest gripe with this case is that the fingerprint sensor's spot on the glass has a different texture than the rest of the screen. It has a matte finish so you always get a VERY visible circle on the screen. It's definitely this case's biggest tradeoff and very noticeable, especially in bright light.The package includes an empty bezel frame for the front if you'd prefer to use a third party glass protector, which was a nice touch.Otherwise, I wish the back was made of thicker or rubberized plastic rather than the transparent and brittle glass-like plastic. I'm assuming it was designed this way to display the back's color but it's probably safe to assume that if you're looking at a case like this you're more interested in protecting your phone than its aesthetics.The case back also doesn't do much for the camera. It sticks out just a little higher than the lenses so you're not completely unprotected but I would have liked to see it just a bit higher. It feels like the camera glass will be the one thing that'll see wear and tear over time because of it.Unlike other cases by this company, there is no kickstand, ring, or magnetic plate included, which is a bit of a shame.All in all, if you're looking for a solid protector you'll be hard pressed to find better on Amazon. It's rugged all around protection. It's just not pretty, and you'll have to endure a matte circle on the fingerprint sensor.

TLDR: If you're looking for a 2 piece case that's durable and not as bulky, ugly, and expensive as an otter box, this case is an amazing option.This is my 2nd case from Poetic, I used one for several years on my Pixel 3, and the phone still looks brand new. After upgrading to the Pixel 6, I made the mistake of buying a different brand on Amazon, then I got this case. The other brand had a horrible echo and the fingerprint reader was unreliable.So far I'm ecstatic and have no reason not to expect the same reliability from my previous case from Poetic. They even include a separate top piece if you want to use your own screen protector. The only negative is I expect dust and dog hair to somehow get between the case and screen at some point.Thank you Poetic.
