This cup is really cute. Even if you aren't a Star Wars fan, the design is benign enough that, if someone wasn't familiar with the saga, it would still look cool. It's made of quality materials. The paint is smooth, the colors are crisp, the lid is a bright orange plastic. You will see what appear to be "dents" in the cup, but that is part of the design (I tried to illustrate that in the photos).The cup is advertised as keeping coffee hot for up to 3 hours. I usually finish my coffee is less than two hours, and I can tell you that the temperature maintained for at least that long. I also tried it with tea, and had the same results.One of the best things about this cup? IT'S DISHWASHER SAFE! I have so many stainless cups that technically aren't dishwasher safe. It's annoying to pay so much for a cup that you cannot put it in the dishwasher.It won't fit standard vehicle cup holders. My van has a non-skid top on the front console where the cup can sit. I do have to make sure that the cup is secure when stopping or turning. It is easy to hold while I drive.I am not in love with the lid. I don't know if it's too thick, or the fact that I just don't like drinking hot liquids through plastic, but I'd rather drink straight from the cup, sans lid. This is NOT a no-spill cup. If it falls over, it will leak.This is an attractive mug that will keep your coffee hot. You may want to leave it at your desk, though, because you may not have a great place to set it down in your car.

This corkcicle mug is a premium product that places priority on the look and feel of the design. The design of this particular variant (BB-8) endeavors to capture the theme without being overly graphical or cartoonish. It conveys the concept very clearly to fans, but could be seen as an abstract modern geometric design by individuals less familiar with the theme. As a result, this mug is pretty versatile (the design isn't overbearing) - you can use it at home, in the office, or on the go without being out of place.The mug itself appears to be manufactured with quality in mind, and this particular design is dishwasher safe - an excellent upgrade that makes care and use much simpler. The non-slip bottom is also a nice addition. I have several stainless steel mugs from other brands, and only one has a non-slip bottom - it definitely adds a layer of security that prevents your drink from sliding around. The lid holds securely, but isn't necessarily waterproof. It'll hold back some splashing, but will likely leak if your drink is knocked over or similar.Two things to keep in mind. One is that (perhaps obviously) the lid is integral to the insulation design - if you don't have the lid on, your drink won't retain its temperature as long as you might expect. Furthermore, as this is more of a cup-style design (vs a travel mug) - despite having a travel style lid, it's not designed to fit in most car cup holders.Value for dollar is ok, but not outstanding. Functionally comparable mugs can be had more affordably, so it's really a case where you're buying into the design and branding of this particular mug.

This is a super cute BB-8 design coffee mug! I have several Corkcicle products, and they function very well to keep liquids hot or cold for many hours. Corkcicles have flat sides on them which allows them to be held better in the hand, especially if your hands are smaller.The BB-8 coffee mug also has a silicone bottom (standard on Corkcicle) which helps keep the mug in place on surfaces, makes it quieter, and doesn't scratch surfaces. The bottom of this mug has the Star Wars logo along with the tag line, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." The handle is comfortable in the hand and easy to manage.The BB-8 Corkcicle comes with a well-made, plastic orange lid with a built-in slider. Liquids will come out of the slider if tipped, even if it is completely closed. It is leak resistant but is not leak proof.This Corkcicle did not arrive in a Corkcicle box like my other ones but was wrapped in bubble wrap only. Not a big deal but worth noting if you plan to gift this one.Unlike my other Corkcicles, this one has a rough spot along the rim of the mug - right where my mouth is when I hold the mug in my right hand (see pic). I will try to lightly file it down to smooth it out, but for the money I would expect better quality control. I did take off one star for this. It is dishwasher safe, which is a plus.This is a mug that is sure to put a smile on the face of any Star Wars fan!

I am a Star Wars fan so when I saw this, I knew I had to order it...and I have to say that I was not at all disappointed with it - it's excellent! The design is super cute - not really that obvious that it's BB-8 right away so you can enjoy this even if you aren't a SW fan LOL. It's a thicker mug size wise than usual so...though it's got a "travel" lid on it, it's not likely to fit in a car cupholder. But I don't mind because I use it primarily around the house - it keeps my coffee HOT and also cold drinks COLD. It's got an excellent, high quality paint job - but then, it's a Corkcicle so there is an expectation of quality...which this cup definitely meets.This mug is dishwasher safe, which is great since a lot of stainless cups are not...so no need to hand wash this one - it cleans easily and it holds up well, coming out the wash good as new.The non skid bottom is a nice touch too, keeping it in place wherever you put it.Overall this is a GREAT mug that meets the standard of quality you expect from a Corkcicle, and it's super cute too. Would make a great gift for yourself or for any SW fan. I highly recommend it!!
