The Only Toaster You‘ll Ever Need!After years of buying cheap toasters with variable results (including a smoke logged kitchen!) I decided that it would be worth getting one that would be reliable. The Dualit toaster isn’t cheap but it’s beautifully made (I watched the documentary featuring bread in the ‘In The Factory’ programme on BBC2 when they also visited the Dualit factory in Crawley in West Sussex where they’ve been made since the 1940s) and it works extremely well. Importantly the automatic adjusting bread slice opening in the toaster will take my home made bread slices and sliced rolls/buns and toasts them perfectly. Additionally, ‘the ‘pop up and check’ facility is ideal to check your toast’s progress is excellent. I wish I had bought one years ago! However, I was also then tempted to buy one of the Dualit sandwich toasters too…and this also works well with shop bought bread and home baked bread. Yes, the toaster is expensive compared to the cheap Chinese imports…but I think I’ve made a really good investment as well as good toast! Rob.

I write this 3 years on from buying and my house is a tea loving toast home and this AMAZING toaster and it's partner kettle is beyond brilliant, I will NEVER EVER but any other make than this, so many kettles and toasters bought and exhausted put and in the recycling pile but these items are sturdy. Stylish, easy to clean big time, quiet and so easy to use, honestly I cannot recommend more highly!!!!!!

Great toaster, can take wide/tall slices of bread. Well put together and is a lot cheaper than the classic Dualit toasters costing over £200.Mines came with chrome side panels matching the rest of the main body, there's a bit of grey plastic there aswell.Side panels can be bought in a variety of colours and easily swapped out to fit your colour scheme.Quite a large machine for only two slices but makes a style statement in your kitchen !Blue led whilst it's working, it has various other settings and things documented in the manual.I set it to three when it arrived and haven't looked back since.Always turn your toaster OFF - at the wall after using it.Works like a treat - looks rather cool and is a third of the price of a classic Dualit toaster.How much do you actually need to spend on a machine that just toasts two slices of bread and hopefully won't set your house on fire ?Well about £30 - £50 In my opinion, if you want something that's a bit better built, has more features and looks the part then have a look at this.

Well we bought the kettle and the wife said we need a matching toaster -her wish was my command.The Dualit Architect 4 slice toaster is well made and looks great. Time will tell on its reliability but what we have seen and used it for to date we have been well pleased. Again as with the kettle not the cheapest to buy but you do get what you pay for and it is very solid.

Exactly what I would expect fron Dualit. Good quality, no noise Good range of toasting choice, accurate and i can fit any size of bread slices in there. It also toasts evenly. Good for toasting thicker slices and hot cross buns!

The specification of this toaster is exceptional. Fast toast, lift-n-look, high lift, 4 slots in 2 zones, etc.But just look at the slice. Cooked on setting 2. Bit dark on the underside for a '2', but the other side is CREMATED.The replacement was just as bad. No idea why, support even suggested I change power outlet - this made no difference. So sent back for refund.EDIT: I spoke at length with Dualit, and it maybe an issue with my higher mains voltage for the electrical supply. I am around 245v, where the toaster is not designed to work above 240v. Even though UK electrical supplies can be as high as 253v.

Absolutely love this toaster. Great product. Previous one I had for 18 years !!!!!
