I bought this for my 11 year old to help her understand how to be more aware of herself as she interacts with other children and adults in terms of having manners. Of course, children will also learn from what they see, so parents must display these same manners towards others. It was a fun book to read together.

This is exactly what I have been looking for! My 10yr old loves this. It is written in a way that she finds relevant AND interesting. It’s everything from friendly conversation, table manners (at home, friends, restaurant etc) gifts and more

I read the book cover to cover before giving it to my daughter. She’s learned a lot and was able to use the knowledge she gained right away.

I really liked this book for my nine year old daughter. It talks about why manners are important and the language is very accessible and kind. It talks about how manners are not just some rules about right and wrong but they help people know what is expected of one another. And help society function because they are agreed upon customs and expectations of productive adults. It makes manners about being a grown up. Like it makes manners seem like something you want to learn!

This book is helpful for young girls to understand how to navigate social situations appropriately. Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to explain it so they will understand this book did just that. It also helped me talk about things I would not have thought to bring up on my own.

Very good book. With all AG books we read the them before we have our daughter read them. This had very good content, was super helpful and very practical. Our daughter loved the quizzes. I agree with some other reviewers that some sections were inapplicable for an 8 year old, namely a section on what to do if you're at a party and everyone decides to play "spin the bottle."

I learned a lot of things by reading this book. I loved the section in this book where it talked about awkward situations and how to politely handle them. It even talks about what you do if a boy asks you to be his girlfriend and you don't want to date him. Please buy this book. It will truly benefit you. If you are a beginner babysitter, this book also teaches you how to handle the child's parents and be polite to them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a special occasion coming up. Have a nice day!!
