DVD Inspired My Article: How The Haitian Revolution Changed America!
Watching this informative DVD inspired me to write the article "How The Haitian Revolution Changed America!" which was published on the Activist Post site today. The article shows that tiny Haiti defeated not only France, but Britain, and Spain -- the world super powers of the day! Yet, the US had barely beaten Britain. Jean Jacques Dessalines defeated Napoleon who was called "the greatest general". That defeat bankrupted France and forced Napoleon to sell his vast lands in North America for which he had great ambitions. It would have seemed unthinkable for France to cede any of its colonial territory before 1791. However, after it's defeat by Haiti, France was in shock and Napoleon realized that his dream of a French empire in the Americas was doomed. He had planned to send troops to Louisiana to take over the colony in the hopes of using the territory as a trade venue for the commodities produced in Haiti. But if Haiti was under the control of the slaves, his plan had to be abandoned.Napoleon had to give up his campaign for a French empire in the region and ceded the Louisiana Territory, including New Orleans, to the United States. President Jefferson had offered $10 million for New Orleans in 1800. Napoleon sold all of Louisiana for $15 million in 1803. The Louisiana Purchase allowed Jefferson to gain 827 square miles for $15 million.Jefferson was the third President of the US from 1801-1809. The Louisiana Purchase was one of his greatest accomplishments as president. That immediately almost doubled the size of America -- adding six states and parts of eight others. It also gave the US access to the Oregon Territory and later Alaska (protecting the US from Russia). It also allowed the US to later steal one third of Mexico for the Southwest in the war with Mexico. Ironically, that purchase expanded the slave holding states into the South and allowed King Cotton to make the US fabulously wealthy -- on the backs of slaves. Jefferson sent Lewis and Clarke to explore the West. When gold was discovered in Montana, the gold rush was on and the rest is history. So, without Jean Jacques Dessalines and the courage of tiny Haiti, the US would not be a land "from sea to shining sea" or "from California to the New York island". It may have even been conquered by Napoleon. It would have certainly been defeated had Spain and England joined the fight as they did against Haiti. So, the US owes its present size (and possibly its existence today) to the courage of Dessalines and the Haitians -- the only slaves to win their freedom. This DVD should be part of every school curriculum and every American should watch it now. We need to know this information to understand our real history and to recognize the origins of some of the most essential aspects of the wealth of the US. It's past time now to give credit where credit is due.

Mind-blowing, authentic Haitian accounts, from REAL Haitians !
Money WELL SPENT ! 👍 Tariq Nasheed does it, YET AGAIN ! This is a GREAT Documentary, for ALL of us in the African Diaspora, & ALL throughout the so-called "Conscious Community" ( MST of A, Nation of Islam, 5%Nation, Universal Zulu Nation, Hebrew Israelites, Rastafarians, Pan-Africanists, Black Panthers, Pro-Black Intellectuals, HBCU College Grads, etc.) Actual interviews with REAL HAITIANS ! Even a cameo from Wyclef Jean of the Fugees, telling his version of events, on how the powers-that-be, sabotaged his campaign for the Presidency of Haiti ! A mention & visual of Prophet NOBLE DREW ALI & MARCUS GARVEY ! Extensive detailed profiles of Jean-Jaques Dessalines, Dutty Bookman, Toussaint L'Overture, etc. The role that Haitian Women played, in the Revolution ! Even how ISLAM, had a slight role, in the Revolution & spirit of Haiti ! The ONLY THING, that could have made this documentary BETTER, is if they mentioned the hatred directed towards Haitians, from Dominicans ! This documentary acts as the explicit undisputed PROOF, that international racist powers have sabotaged Haiti's growth & advancent AFTER 1804, the SAME WAY that "Black Wallstreet" was destroyed in Tulsa, Oklahoma ! The fear from so-called White Supremacists, seeing Afro-Asiatic peoples rise up, & have political, social & economic power, IS REAL ! ! !

1804 the history of Haiti is the quintessential documentary explaining in great detail about the Haitian Revolution
Another watershed moment in Black history . 1804 the history of Haiti is the quintessential documentary explaining in great detail about the Haitian Revolution . All I have to say is buy this documentary, do not bootleg it , buy it . Thank you again brother Tariq Nasheed for bringing us the truth about our history . We cannot wait for the dominant society to dictate the narrative we must tell our own unapologetic history. The reason the Haitian revolution was omitted in history books, is because the Haitians successfully defeated the Europeans using the African spiritual system known as voodoo. they were outgunned with those Haitians summing up the power of the ancestors and defeated the enemy. But don't want to spoil it for you all, get this documentary and let us start patronizing our black filmmakers so our story will be told in truth and Justice.

An untold story excellently done!
This is a must see for those who are interested in the untold history of Haiti, and how it related to events in America and France at the time. The backlash they received from the powers that be and how they are still suffering repercussions from those historical events up to now. There are a lot of untold histories of the Americas that the mainstream historians refuse to deal with, or only superficially. Tariq Nasheed did a great service to Africans throughout the diaspora by putting together this work, and his previous Hidden Histories. By watching this work and the others, the general public might be able to better understand part of the reason why Haiti is in the condition it is in today. It is clearly no accident. Well worth watching.

Incredible history everyone should know
I believe there is no other real life story like it. Its incredible. Enslaved people rise up and kill their enslavers. Then they beat 3 super powers to maintain that freedom. The final thing that I really love is that they were the first nation on the planet to abolish slavery permanently. We all know why this isnt taught in schools. Like Malcolm X said. "Only a fool will let his enemy teach his children." Teach your kids yourself the most important aspects of history. They need it like a knight needs armor.
