Q: For a 18inch x 12inch image, what is the frame size? I need this to be no larger than 20inch x 16inch

The frame size is 17.25" x 13.25"

Q: Does it comes with a glass layer in front?

It comes with a hard plastic layer which looks like glass it looks good with prints or photos in also not as heavy as glass. I'm pleased with this product have bough 3.

Q: Will the 8 x 10" frame fit an 8 x10" mount?

Yes but picture will be smaller.

Q: How do you hang this picture? The hooks that look like they’re for hanging are fused to the back wood?

I use a picture hook that is like a flat rounded triangle shape. I don’t know what they are called but they are wide at the top (with a hole at each corner for the pins to attach it to the wall) & narrows at the bottom where the flat hook is. It is an inch long from top to bottom. I hope this helps. I don’t know how to take a picture or I would have shown you the hook
