Fantastic Grit That Leaves Rocks Shining
I’ve been using a little three-pound National Geographic tumbler and loving it, but I recently ran out of the grit that came with the kit. I spent quite a bit of time looking for an affordable refill and decided to try this grit for the first time. The difference between this grit and the original Nat Geo kit is huge. I couldn’t believe how much more polished and shiny my rocks came out. The final results look amazing, and it makes the whole process even more fun. This grit is a great value, and even though I’m still new to the hobby, I’m very impressed with how well it works. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for better results from their rock tumbler.

Very good quality and performance.
The grits and medium works better than what came with my rock tumbler when I got it. Not that the grits and medium of the tumbler kit was bad, they weren't. These just seemed better, and the finished rocks are very nice and have illustrious shines to them. It would be nice if there were a scooper that came with it, but I made due with some plastic measuring spoons. I like that they are good sized containers full so I don't have to be so meticulous or concerned about using more than what I would usually for each phase of tumbling. It gave me good results through each cycle and the transformations were impressive from every stage. I would recommend getting these for any rock tumbler's interest in fine, finished and well polished stones.

The kit includes all the necessary grits for each stage of rock tumbling.
I recently purchased the Rock Tumbler Grit Kit and Ceramic Tumbling Filler Media, and I am thoroughly impressed with the results. The kit includes all the necessary grits for each stage of rock tumbling, making it incredibly convenient for both beginners and experienced hobbyists. The quality of the grit is excellent, and it has significantly improved the finish on my rocks. The ceramic tumbling filler media is a fantastic addition, as it helps cushion the stones and ensures an even polish throughout the process. I noticed a marked difference in the smoothness and shine of my rocks compared to previous batches where I didn't use the ceramic media. The instructions provided are clear and easy to follow, which is a big plus for anyone new to rock tumbling. Overall, this kit offers great value for the price, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to achieve professional-quality results with their rock tumbling projects.

Sackorange + CERIUM Hack
I’ve been tumbling rocks for awhile, and this grit pack is a great value. Like some others have said, it won’t provide a mirror finish by itself. To get a good shine with this kit, you MUST add a 5th stage with cerium oxide. Then? Flawless!

Excellent Sackorange Grit & Ceramic Media Kit! Shines Hard Rocks Quite Well.
This rock tumbling grit from Sackorange works just fine! Some reviewers have stated that this grit does not shine the rocks. There is a reason: It's important to note than most rocks are not hard enough to take a shine by tumbling. For those softer rocks & minerals, a cabbing/polishing machine would be the proper equipment to use. The rocks that polish best by tumbling are those at Mohs 7 hardness or greater. This Sackorange kit shines those up very nicely! (Test probes are available on line to check your rocks' hardness.) .With hard rocks- The first step will round the rocks and remove most surface roughness. Much weight & size will be lost, so be sure to use ceramic media to take up the lost space during the second step. The second stage provides additional smoothing without removing much mass. The third step pre-shines the rocks to a dull, but even, sheen. The polishing step does, indeed, provide a rather high gloss finish on proper rocks. .Note that for even more shine & polish, finer grits are available. An additional hint is to scrub your rocks with a nylon brush & water after each grit. Then, rinse the rocks well. Running them for a few hours in washing soda, dish soap & water, then re-scrubbing will help quite a bit. Happy Rock Shining!

Very good beginner set.
This gives you a good starting place to learn. I am only on step 2 of 4, but so far I am happy with grit. Not so happy with my choice of stones to learn on, petrified wood, and granite from front yard.
