Great idea- extra charge for my headset!
I bought this as I had a Plantronics Voyager Legend for my birthday. I spend hours on the phone for work, and this will pair with my mobile and my landline phone to enable me to carry out my work comfortably all day.Part of my job involves driving and staying over in places- and I found I was shoving my earpiece into my handbag where it was being battered and dropped regularly. (The magnetic attachment to the charger means it sticks to my keys).I thought the price was a little high at first but now I have had it for a few weeks I think it is worth the £30. The case held enough charge for me to go away for three days and two nights without a proper charge. I drove an average of four hours each day, and a couple of hours each evening in the hotel room using my headset to talk. I used this case to charge the headset each night and it was ready to go in the morning. The charger port is a micro USB so my phone charger actually works with it. Unlike the headset charger which is a specific type. This means I don't have to take loads of different cables with me when I'm away- I just leave the headset charger in my office. The case is slightly larger than a pack of cards, and is shiny smooth plastic on the cover and matt plastic on the bottom. It will scratch easily- but I bought it to protect me headset, not look nice! The cover is flimsy and would probably crack if a lot of pressure was put on it, but the moulded inside is contoured with a rubbery material to hold the earpiece securely. The case has a clever set of LEDs which flash different colour and different amounts to count down the charging level of the headset and the case. It tells you when the headset is fully charged and when the case needs recharging. The lights flash automatically when you put the headset in or take it out, or you can push the button on the case to show the levels.I would buy this case again in a heart beat. It is a shame the headsets are not sold with them!

Brilliant little item. Neat, compact and tough.
I have had it knocked on the floor several times by my cats and myself, it has skated across the hard floor without a scratch, too! The functionality is faultless. Headphone fits neatly and compactly and precisely into the case, and the charging lasts for ages. Smooth, no catching edges, nice finger ledge to lift lid, and it stays open, usefully, no flapping or loose lid! Clips nicely shut, secure and snug. The magnetic charging patch is brilliant - makes it so easy to put headphone into the case - it sort of directs the whole thing! The little led lights are reassuring, not intrusive, and I think that this is the best purchase I have made for a long time. You can carry the headset around with you, in this case, for days, in a pocket or bag, knowing that it will be protected, kept clean and fully charged, ready for use. Excellent item. Highly recommend.

Protective case for expensive item - with an added feature
The first thing that struck me about the case is how small it is. Quite a bit smaller (although fatter) than a Samsung Galaxy S3. Inside is moulded to accurately fit the Plantronics Voyager Legend bluetooth headset (see my review on that). Normally I leave my headset in the car, but this headset is so much better than the previous ones I've used, that I want it with me for whenever I can avoid putting the phone up to my head, or when I need both hands free for typing. So it looks like an expensive protective case. Well it comes with a battery to recharge the headset. That's a big bonus. When you put the headset into the case, it charges again. It also informs the phone that it's not on your head (obviously), so calls come through to the phone. Of course the beauty of this headset is that if you take it out of the case and put it on your head, then it does a smooth handover and gets the call moved from phone to headset without me pressing any buttons. Just brilliant.Small, clever, saves breaking a £60 headset - yes I think this is worth it.Oh, one more thing. The case takes a micro-USB cable and charges the headset and case at the same time. So you only need one lead (micro USB) to charge everything.

Useful piece of Kit, Lightweight,
I'll steer a middle course here between the reviews giving this top marks and those giving it a miserable 2/5. Having power for blutooth earsets when driving can save your life/licence or both, so these are great to put in a small rucksack or overnight bag - admittedly I have USB chargers in all vehicles but there are times when unexpectedly everyone finds themselves without local power sources and in need of making/receiving that all-important call. This charger carrying case seems reasonably well made and most importantly the earset is a snug fit. Overpriced for what it is but the times I will need it no doubt will soon render that a distant consideration. If you put it in your back pocket and sit on it the lid will likely break, but who wouldn't sacrifice a bit of sturdiness for something so lightweight you hardly know it is there when travelling? Convenience and functionality are pretty much everything to me. Will carry along with my portable USB charging Pack and then during the day I will have few worries about running out of power.....Update - this charger is kept in my right hand front pocket together with two iphones and a bank code device for online banking. I am always jumping in and out of vans or racing around the warehouse, pressing on my pocket flaps - the thing does what it says on the tin, the charger is a snug fit and in spite of my initial fears it is not particularly sturdy it has proced to be man enough for my uses, so far no problems whatsoever. I just forget about charging now, two headsets with one of these and it is worry/problem free - for my line of work that is priceless. I'll still keep at 4/5 because of the cost.
