It WORKS !
I don't generally write reviews. This machine is fabulous! The standard razor knife blades fit! I just finished with seven knives and got accurate cuts. I have used needle-nosed pliers, just spanning the knife position, to start the cut. Be careful and pull evenly and you'll get great results.

Good value tool for making leather strips / fringe with caveats.
I like the way it lets you cut thin strips from a wider strip of leather. It is a little awkward to set up the blades and they tend to drop out of the indentations made for the blades before the jig is tightened. It also has trouble keeping a straight line with softer / thinner leather, but I may need to tighten the hold down more to help with that. I tried it on a stiffer strip and it seems to cut well. Overall an inexpensive way to cut uniform strips from a wider piece of leather.

Not for rabbit strips, or very thin pelts.
I assume this would work well with thicker leather, but rabbit skin was a bit too thin. When pulling at lighter pressure (with 5 blades set at 1/8" gaps to cut vertical strips), the pelt would tear horizontally. It's a well-built tool, quick shipping. I will keep it for future uses.(Edit, I also tried only using 2 blades and spreading them out to 1/4" gaps, same results.)

Excellent
Did what it was supposed to do. 1/8 in the first position does not come out, but allowing for that the rest of the laces come out flawless

Not as great as I expected
Difficult to put together. The design is such that the blades can easily slip out before you can get it all together. Doesn’t cut lighter weight leather well, and unless you keep a close watch how it is held, you will end up with wavy fringe strands. And, unlike hand cutting, it creates a mess of fine leather dust. So, beware where you chose to do your cutting and do not wear knit clothing or a sweater.
