It does produce a vanilla taste but you do have to use a fair amount which can result in using to much there is a fine line between using the right amount and to much! It's also not as thick as I was expecting. That being said it's not like using a real vanilla bean! When I first opened it I was optimistic as it smelt artificial but seen as its only 47% vanilla I can't say I'm surprised! It is a good product but you could get a higher quality paste for a little more. Since I brought it the price has gone down buy £2 a bit annoying. Because it is sold in a pack of two smaller jars means less likelyhood of spoilage once opened. The delivery was really swift and arrived well packaged. As this is so difficult to buy in shops it couldn,t be easier to order through amazon.
