Bought as a first set of weights for my son. Great for beginners, and does exactly what he wants. Super value for money.

You get what you pay for, bars feel good quality, plates don't, but that's not an issue unless you're not planning on using the bar. Can fit the whole 30 kg together if you make 2 dumbbells and just attach together, not sure if the connector will last too long like this though, has survived 3 days fine so far.The weights are quite big for how light they are, you won't fit more on the bar than what comes with.

I purchased these as a beginner starting a training programme in January which I had ordered in plenty of time. To start the weights got lost by the courier and it took me to message and request a replacement be sent as the weights had by this point taken over 4 weeks.I have tried these out for a couple of weeks to give them a fair review. When fixing them together they are very very flimsy I have been scared of these coming apart mid lift and probably spent more time making sure they were properly screwed together as they would often come loose as I was lifting. They are also incredibly uncomfortable especially when squatting due to the connection in the middle I had to rest a towel on my back to stop it hurting me. Also make sure you have some gloves handy because christ these burn and dig into your hands, mine would be red raw after if I didn't wear any gloves.Overall I will use as dumbells (even though they are quite long) but not as a barbell, it feels too unsafe. I have recently purchased a new barbell set from aldi at less than half the price and the quality is amazing with a sturdy metal heavy bar + weights. The plus side is my weights from this also fit on my new bar so it's not completely wasted and I can start lifting heavier.Overall OK but not great.

I don't understand the negative reviews really, I had not a single problem with them, yes the box came a bit damaged, but only because they are packed in cardboard and they weght a lot, the bars are metal, so it's only commond sense this might happen, I didn't found any damage on them or whatever people are complaining about.They are easy to put together, they work as intended, make sure you maintain good form and you're good to go.

This is a great set of weights, particularly whilst gyms are closed and we're limited to excerise outside/at home.From reading some other reviews, I would say common sense does apply. When combining the dumbells to make a barbell, ensure the connector is equally connected to each dumbell and tighten before each set. I don't find comfort much of an issue but primarily use for biceps/shoulders routines. Might be a bit on the short side for chest press and uncomfortable for squats.Max weight on the barbell is 18kg,you can also get that weight on a single dumbell (for single bent over row, say) but not enough weights to match on the other dumbell. Max equal weight on the dumbells = 14kg.I payed £60 which was great value for money, unfortunately current climate/ demand has seen an increase on price.

The product itself is good enough I would rate it 4.5/5 the only problem I have is when the bar is connected it is firm about 90-95%.The dumbells are perfect, nothing wrong.As the for the support team they quickly replied and sent me the next day a part that was missing. 5/5
