INVINCIBLE tells the tale of bartender Vince Papale, down-on-his-luck former teacher who decides to answer an open tryout for the Philadelphia Eagles. It doesn't take a genius to work out what happens next, but the twist here is that Vince Papale is a real person, and the is based on his eyebrow-raising memoir of the same name. Director Ericson Core Star Elizabeth Banks, Greg Kinnear, Mark Wahlberg Special Features: Widescreen, Commentary, Featurettes

INSPIRING STORY
I was a little bit too young to remember this when it actually happened, but I had heard about it prior to the movie being released. Vince Papalle was going through some rough times in a rough town, which I think most people can relate to. It was also an intimate portrayal of Dick Vermeil, who as the new coach of the Eagles was under a lot of pressure to turn things around instantly. Everyone thinks of Vermeil as the grandfather-figure who won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 1999, but 20+ years earlier, his legacy was anything but certain - it was not even clear if he would make it out of his first season in Philly!Anyways, the film is a testament to Mr. Papalle's toughness and indomitable spirit. He was the consummate underdog in the toughest sport in the world and the fact that he was able to not only make an NFL roster but to contribute in a meaningful way is truly amazing. When Vince keeps asking Coach Vermeil how he is doing, it is telling to see Vermeil's reaction - here he is, where everyone is criticizing him and no one is embracing him at all, and the only guy that gives a rip about how he is doing, other than his wife, is the open tryout free agent wannabe. Just a tremendous testament to the character of Mr. Papalle.I coach boys and girls in basketball, baseball and softball, and I can tell you that the zest for life that these kids have before they reach 16 years old is incredible. With most of us, that fire and exuberance for just playing a game fades as we age. But what Vince Papalle was able to do was maintain that spirit until he got his shot at the game he loved - and he maintains that enthusiasm for life to this day in his role as a motivational speaker.I have had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with Vince Papalle, and he has a way of making you feel like you are his friend, even if he barely knows you. He is as genuine in person as he is in the film (where he is portrayed by Mark Wahlberg in an outstanding display of acting skills). This film should be cherished and shown to all kids as an example of what you can do if you put your mind to it, stay positive and give it your all!

Great Movie!
I love true story movies and then you add football snd great music to it and you've got a winner! The main actor is Mark Wahlberg who is believable in his role and it's based on the 70s so the music is awesome which also makes you dance in your seat cheering throughout the movie! Now if your looking for a movie to watch with your man that "you" can enjoy this is it. You've got football for him, Mark Wahlberg for you and music you both can enjoy, it's a great date night movie, just add a pizza and beer and he'll adore you!
