Survived a Wind Storm with Little Damage
The quality of this umbrella is outstanding! We accidentally left it open when we were out for a date night and some intense winds came through our area. When we arrived home, it was still open and upside down in the creek next to our house. Only one piece of metal bent slightly and it still worked like a charm with no other damage! The color is also bright and beautiful and exactly as pictured!

Great price
So far the umbrella seems sturdy as it on a table at the end of our dock with lots of wind. Love the color and does just what its suppose to do. Winds up and down fine. Would buy again.

Great Shade, But the Crank Has Its Directions Backwards!
The Sunnyglade 9' Patio Umbrella is a solid and stylish addition to my poolside setup. The tan color blends beautifully with my patio furniture, and the umbrella provides plenty of shade — perfect for sunny afternoons. The 8 sturdy ribs make it feel stable even on breezy days, and the overall quality is impressive for the price. However, one funny (and slightly confusing) flaw: the crank labels are completely backwards! Turning it “UP” actually closes the umbrella, and “DOWN” opens it — the exact opposite of what the instructions and label say. That is the reason I gave a 4 star review and not a five. Once you figure it out, it’s easy to use, but it definitely threw me off at first.Aside from that quirky detail, it’s a great umbrella for the price and works exactly as you’d hope — just ignore the crank labels and you’ll be golden!

Good quality for the price
I have purchased three of these. The first is over a year old and I recently purchased 2 more.SETUP: They can be assembled in seconds. Just insert one pipe into the other until the locking pin clicks.USE: They are very easy to raise, lower, tilt, and tie up. There is a crank that opens and closes the umbrella. It is connected to a small rope that runs up through the pole to a pully that then pulls the umbrella mechanism up or down. I'm sure there is a limited lifespan on that cord, but after a year, mine looks fine. You can tilt the umbrella when it is open by push a button. It has 3 angles that it can lock in at. Some other umbrellas can hit any angle you want, but I never need that precise of an angle. The umbrella has ties so that when closed, you can tie it shut to avoid wind blowing up into it. Finally, the umbrellas has the double umbrellas on top to allow wind to blow out when you get a stronger gust. It works pretty well. My 35lb base works for most wind. I haven't tried it in strong winds, but you would need at least 50lb base to even attempt.QUALITY: It's not built like a $300+ umbrella, but it looks nice, holds it's color after a year in the sun, and seems like it will last for 3-5 years which is pretty standard for even expensive umbrellas. at 1/6 the price, these are a much better option.

purchased in 2020 and still going strong, though some sun bleaching of the fabric.
Has lasted 5 years without issue but is now starting to show sun fading, plus we have had some tree scale (an insect that infests trees and drops a sticky residue) and the umbrella is now stained permanently. So time for a new one. Or new fabric part, at least. The mechanism and pole is perfectly fine. I have no information on the current product quality but ours from 2020 has been great.

Quality has gone way down
We have 3 of these that we ordered a few years ago to use with a heavy base through heavy round picnic tables. Only had one break from a very strong wind gust, and replaced it. Then we had another one break in a different place, so we got a new one and replaced each part from the new ones. Then another one broke, we replaced it, etc. over the course of about a year. Each successive one has gotten worse. For about a year they were fine, now that we've replaced basically all of them, we can't open them because even the slightest wind will case them to bend or break, not to mention how often the canvas tears (we fixed them ourselves). We literally opened one for about an hour, on a slightly windy day, and the latch that tilts it to one side broke so that it doesn't stay upright. We are tired of spending the money for about a month of use, and not being able to open them, ever. They didn't used to be this bad, wind has not increased that much. Terrible quality, terrible durability, we're basically looking at other options.
