GREAT, inexpensive saw. WANTS 25:1 GAS/OIL MIX, Parts ship directly from China! Yay Ecotech!
The media could not be loaded. Update 6-10-2025: First things first- this saw is truly a little beast. I thought I ruined it with the wrong fuel mix. NAW! Just mixed up the correct flavor and she fired right up and now runs perfectly. Easy starting and has gotten more powerful as it broke in. Second- Ecotech mailed me an air filter cover, from China, for free. They just asked for a photo of the broken part. Took a while but who cares. This is WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE folks.BTW, and I don't use this saw every day, but it has at least 10-12 hours on it, and I'm still running the original chain! Pretty sweet saw for $135 or whatever. Don't miss out on getting one. Raised to 5 STARS!I got this saw for light work. At first it cut pretty well and I was happy with the saw. Unfortunately I didn't realize the saw wants 25:1 gas/oil mix and used standard 50:1. My bad, but I didn't think any saw makers were requiring 25:1. Anyway, saw now is very hard to start and won't idle. Did I ruin it? Don't know and I don't know how to contact the maker. Also, I dropped the saw and broke the retaining screw off the air filter cover so now that won't stay on unless I tie it on with string. I'd like to buy a replacement cover if possible. Ecotek, if you're reading this, can you supply parts to the US market? Thanks

I own 4 different NEOTECH saws.
This chainsaw is so nice. Light weight and easy to hold and use when in a tree. The size is perfect when in tight areas of the tree tops. This saw has great power to cut even the most dense woods. I cut a lot of shagbark hickory,. Red oak, white oak, and my favorite Osage orange also known as hedge. The latter being the most dense. And I can cut a 6" log in just a few seconds. I been running this saw from a few months now and it still starts easy and runs like new. Still have the chain it came with but I have shortened it one time. This saw also is ment to be used by arborist. And can be connected to the harness with a carabiner. I have a few Neotech chainsaws now. I have the 36" the 28" and the little 16" and now this 12" top handle saw. I do love the Neotech brand so much I am starting a channel to chainsaws. I will update with pictures and a video soon. I hope you find this helpful. 👍 helps me

Really great saw!!
I have had this 12” saw for 7 days and have ran 15-20 tanks of fuel through it. It was easy to start out of the box and continues to start easily. My only complaint on it is the location of the on/off switch. I repeatedly hit it with my hand shutting the saw off. It out performs my echo and stihl saws. I like it so much I’m trying the 16” & 20” saws as well. You can’t go wrong with this saw!

Broke immediately
The right cover broke when I tightened the two bolts the first time. Bent the tension screw. I can’t get a replacement thru Amazon because the seller never sent the part I ordered. The Neotec website wants to charge me $75 shipping to send me the part. Now I have a useless chainsaw that has never been used.

Get yours today
This saw is incredible. I spent days shopping around for chainsaws and was about ready to give up on finding a decent imported model—then this dream machine went on sale, and I jumped on it. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. This isn’t your typical cheap, throwaway import; this is a solid, well-built beast of a saw. Powerful, reliable, and worth every penny. I’d buy it again and again without hesitation.

Great little
On third tank of gas. Really a lifesaver for cutting small stuff. Super easy to handle, light, powerful. Even the chain is holding up well. Starts easy too

What a great little chainsaw if you set it up right
I got this to do climbing work around the property. I needed something small and light. It's a real ripper if you set it up right.First, replace the spark plug. I put in a Champion RCJ6Y gapped at .025. I don't trust the plugs that come in Chinese equipment after much experience with the issues they can cause.Second, remove the air cleaner and remove the metal plate over the mouth of the carb. It's just a restriction.Third, every single mesh air cleaner like this lets in fine dust. My other chainsaw has one and the inside of the filter and the mouth of the carb was caked in it. Get some air filter foam and cut it to size. Put a little air filter oil on it too.Soak the chain in bar and chain oil before installing it. Grease the bar sprocket too.The manual says to run 25:1 all the time. I'm assuming they're writing that based on garbage oil. What I always do is run 25:1 of non-athletic for the first three tanks, then run 40:1 full synthetic. Never had an issue. During break-in, never run it full throttle with no load. Run it like you're using it.I'm using Husky bar and chain oil. The manual says 10W-30. That's a huge no-no. It's not nearly tacky enough and it sprays all over.Tune it slightly rich on the high end. You want to hear it 4-stroke under load at full throttle without bogging. I was able to go out about a full turn without it bogging.Expect the chain to feel chunky but it should move freely without being loose. With all of that said, it starts 2nd pull even in 20 degrees F weather. I ran a tank and a half through it and it ran beautifully. Big chunks, eats through like crazy. The chain binds a bit on soft wood but that happens if you push too hard. With the right set up and good practices, this thing is a real runner. Perfect for those of us that do our own tree work or if you just want to cut up small trees and branches. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. My only concern is parts in the future. This is not a 2511 clone. It's slightly different and takes it's own parts.
