Helikon-TexMen's Rucksack, Black, One Size

I use a backpack every day to and from work, this is the fourth bag I’ve tried in the last two years and I think it will be a keeper.If you’re not familiar with this manufacturer, the quality is much higher than the price would suggest. The beaver tail tucks away pretty well by rolling up and then clipping to the middle daisy chain webbing, but it really doesn’t inhibit access to the main compartment so I haven’t been bothering to stash it.Pros:Beaver tail is awesome, fits a ACH/MICH or high cut helmet, lunch bag, or whatever else very well.Storable rain fly is a huge plus if you commute and carry electronics. Haven’t gotten rained on since the bag came but it is generously sized and elastic on the edges so it should do the job.Molle loops above bottle pockets are useful without being so over the top military looking.Cons:There is a top zipper pocket right below the handle that is not quite perfect, I think the pockets in it are sized for rifle and pistol magazines so if you have pens or markers they will fall too far down to easily retrieve if not clipped to the edge of the pocket.The mesh zipper pocket on the inside of the main pocket should be wider, full width of the panel, and the small pocket on the front is also quite small, I believe it’s designed for sunglasses since it is lined. The loop lining inside the main pocket is directly above the laptop sleeve, so if you used it for organization it might inhibit laptop access, would be nicer if the opposite side of the main pocket were lined with instead.

This is a great bag! You get what you pay for in this case and it is an excellent bag with tons of storage and compartments. There is a nice better zippered if compartment inside the big section. There is also elastic pockets at the bottom inside. Two elastic water bottle holders. There is tons of velcro inside and out for the additional molle bags that they also sell on Amazon if you want to go all put. There is also velcor for patches. This thing has tons of pockets in the small section for first aid and every day tools. Overall it's been almost 3 years of every day use and the bag is in great condition. It an awesome bag for every day use, first aid etc. Absolutely a 5 star bag. I tried a cheaper one first and it was an immediate no. Those 35 dollar ones. If you are a person that needs an organized everyday bag this is worth the price and will last years. I would definitely buy again. In fact if this one every breaks I wouldnt want a different bag. Oh yea and a compartment for glasses on the front This one does everything I need in a bag. This is almost 3 years in of everyday use and the zippers are still good. The bag is still going strong and I love it. I highly recommend as it has lasted years of everyday use. The picture is of 3 years of everyday use. If you are on the fence about brands this is the one.

This ruck is well built and works good for my needs. My biggest complaint is this company seems to think everything they sell is gold plated judging by the high prices. Like I said it’s holding up well with daily use and it’s not to big and not to small for me, so I paid the over inflated price. Let your bank account and needs be your guide

For the money this backpack is fantastic. It does anything and everything I need but I primarily use it to carry camera gear.The pullout rain fly is awesome for hiking in rainforest. It has a small rip in the fly which isn't a big enough problem to knock off a star. I bought an aftermarket rainfly so I can swap it out if the tip gets bigger.

Great small pack, had it fairly well packed with heavy stuff and hardly knew it was there

This bag is the perfect size for 1 person to cut through the woods for 3 days or even more if you're frugal with your food supply.

Excellent craftsmanship well made not one negative thing about this pack

This was more roomier than I thought it would be. Fits everything I need and then some.
