From one beginner to another...
The media could not be loaded. I want to preface this review with some history. The only self waxing I have done is eyebrows since I was 18. For many years I had my unmentionables waxed by a pro. It's been about 3 years since anything but my eyebrows were done. It's important to note from one beginner to another thar bigger is not better. This goes for 2 things, the size of your wax gob and the amount of hair you rip at once. That being said, I started my first ever dip at this in my underarms. Whew was that the pits! The hair came out fairly easily after I got the hang on the wipe 3 pull 3 method that so many YouTube videos showed me. I'm thankful I kept the baby powder close cause I had fear sweats starting right away. YouTube said you must keep dry and that is super true. Alright so got that all done and went right on to my lower legs with a small amount of technique gained.I used 4 fingers and bravery to lead me through this. I got the little bumpy marks immediately, so off I went with a bit of cool water and we were off again. The first few rips were the hardest, it turns out that's cause I started at the ankles. So y'all, don't start there! Anywho it didn't take long before my legs were at least acceptable in 3/4 leggings. My confidence was SOARING. Look here, my pits and hairsticks were mostly smooth, why not move on to the depths of danger?!So off I went. I started too big. I started WAYYYYYYY too big. The gob of paste was too big as was the amount of hair I went for. Unlike my waxer had done in the past (which should have been the first hint I was going at it wrong) I went right down the middle with a full 3 fingers. I did the against the grain 3 times then pulled at that paste like it was in danger. No y'all, I was the one in danger! It took me every bit of gumption I had to keep going. It's not bravery, it's stupidity. Pure dumb Idiocracy. But here I was committed to a bikini ready bod, even if my fat rolls said no.I immediately stopped the ripping with the big handful I had used on my let's and swapped it out for a nice small ball that I could use my thumb for if I needed to. I kept going. The saving grace, I learned, was a nicely placed fan. It did wonderful at keeping the wax from getting too sticky. Also not being afraid to swap out my ball for another often helped. I made it through several rips with a little practiced breathing. I kid you not, I changed the line from Nemo the whole time I prepared. So I swiped the wax on and thought softly "sharkbait, ooh haha" before every pull.As ill timing would have it, my husband and son returned from the store while I was midway through. I didn't want them to know I was dying quietly in the other room, so I took a little break. That was a huge mistake y'all. Here's the thing, like a tattoo, after you get going the area goes a bit numb and you can proceed with just a bit of outward motivation. But once you go back in 45min later, your brain stops you from pressing forward. You go to do the pull and your brain SCREAMS at you too stop. But we already established there's a certain amount of stupidity required, so naturally I continued, despite my brains biggest emotional retaliation it was lodging against me.I only made it about 5 more rips after the break. I couldn't bring myself to continue. So here I sit, writing a review with mostly smooth legs, only a few stragglers in the pits and my nether bits looking like the weed whacker done ran out of string and I tried to replace it with a saw blade. The good news is that the size tub I got will last forever, especially because it now lives right there under the bathroom sink until the day I die.

Same Great Product, Terrible Packaging
I purchased this by accident initially. It comes packaged a bit differently. In fact it’s a very large amount which is great but the top doesn’t screw on or off which makes it extremely insecure while handling. I found out just how much this isn’t secure when I accidentally left it turned sideways in my hot towel caddy to warm it up. The other packaging fits in my caddy perfectly to quickly heat up in between clients. This is so large that it does not and on top of that because of the way the top is packaged, it popped open and an entire brand new container of sugar is wasted in my hot towel caddy on a Friday in the summer this close to the 4th of July with a book full of sugaring! What a wonderful mess to have to deal with! The earliest order I can get for another container is Monday! Thank God I stay prepared or I’d be s.o.l!

Not good at all
Impossible to remove from container because it's so hard. Then once you remove it, it coats your hands with an oily and watery texture. Does not want to still to skin at all!!

Does the job
I started doing my own sugaring at home to save money. I've tried a couple different brands and I find this one to be better than the ones that are marketed on social media (and cost maybe 10x more by volume). The medium was a bit difficult to work with at first, but it is winter here so it may be better in the summer time. I will try the softer one in my next order since I prefer not to use a warmer. Remember that the temperature AND humidity of your environment will affect the consistency and effectiveness. If you're a beginner start with small sections in easy to reach area. Don't try to do a large section or a hard to reach area until you've got the motion figured out. I feel like paying attention at the salon goes a long way in figuring out what you're doing. YouTube videos are also helpful but nothing like observing a pro in real life.

My new mortal enemy
I was really excited about this product! I've heard great things about sugar wax and I was looking for a new method of hair removal for *down there*. This sugaring paste wasn't it.I researched thoroughly the best way to go about using this wax, but it still ended up being a nightmare. It was painful (granted, this did not surprise me), messy and sticky, and ultimately ended up damaging my hair follicles. Despite the fact that I waxed in the recommended motion and followed all instructions, apparently this product caused me to rip the hairs off at the root instead of pulling out the entire follicle. This led to severe folliculitis (look it up if you're brave) for two weeks in my nether regions that has left fairly ugly scars. So that's cool.Additionally, and this is partially my fault, I thought this product would be safe to store in one of my drawers if I reattached the lid. It must have gotten knocked over at some point because half of the remaining tub of wax leaked and hardened in the bottom of my cosmetics drawer even though the lid was sealed. It was awful to clean up and involved a ton of time and stickiness to salvage my products that were coated in the stuff. I ended up throwing what little wax remained straight into the trash.I really wanted this product to be a game changer! And maybe you'll be able to use it with zero problems. But those with sensitive skin, beware. And don't store it anywhere you aren't willing to scoop hardened wax from later.TLDR; After a painful wax, this caused me to have folliculitis when the hair grew back. And it spilled all through one of my drawers, despite me reattaching the lid.
