OK, this review is going to be a bit hit and miss, the item itself is really well made with good materials and is sturdy, now here's the bad part. I ordered this in the last week in May, and was supposed to receive it on the 3rd of June, waited in all day, no show, looked at the tracking and it said, "returned to company of issue", so I contacted Amazon and was told it was damaged in transit, no big issue, so they advised me to wait for my refund and order again, so I did this and received my new delivery date, and again a no show, it was again returned to Amazon! I was not advised of this so another day waisted, believe it or not this happened again, yes again, I have finally received this on the 22nd of July, but the funny thing is, I ordered two other items at the same time from the same company and received them the following day.

Took me about 2 hours to get it fully assembled and secured on my own. If you can have someone help you it would certainly be much faster and easier!The frame is very lightweight but sturdy. The canvas on rollers is really nice, but I've had to cut a few lengths of string to tie it so it remains open or closed. There are some magnets that came with the set which don't seem to have any purpose as they're not strong enough and too low to hold the canvas.Brilliant alternative to having a parasol! I'm going to hang some mosquito nets along the sides to keep flies and biters out in the long summer evenings

This is not worth bothering with. Mine arrived with a damaged part and a part missing, although that particular problem was solved? after a fashion the item it's self is not worth the money. Once the frame was eventually put together (which was a nightmare as the instructions are not clear enough) and attached to the wall it seemed to be ok but when we came to put the roof curtain bars on things just went from bad to worse. The bars do not fix together at the centre point, they are only held in place at the ends so when you open and close the roof the front bar keeps coming apart at the centre point. Also, in my opinion, the roof curtain isn't long enough for the frame, when it's opened up there is a gap at the front which is around 30cm from the edge of the frame, it's totally useless once the sun moves around in that direction. Also, the roof curtain keeps rolling back when even the slightest breeze blows, we've solved that by drilling a hole in each of the front legs and attaching a bungee hook to hold it in place... we had to make so many adaptions to make this thing work it was ridiculous and I wish we had just returned the whole thing but until it was actually put together we couldn't have known about the issues with the roof and by then we couldn't be bothered to take it back down. If you'll take my advice you won't waste your money, time and effort on it, it's not worth it.

The fixtures and fittings were of very poor quality, however the main support structure was ok. We had to replace the canopy suspension nuts and hooks as they did not screw together at all!Also the end magnets were not strong enough to keep the cloth canopy pulled out.

A great item that looks great and fits well around the outside of our house without being obtrusive. The one issue is the magnets that hold the canopy open. Either the canopy is too tight or the magnets do not have the strength required. It was easily managed by replacing the magnet by a hook. A great buy for the cost but expect to make this modification.

Smashing

Took a while to set up and definitely needs 2/3 people but works really well and does what we needed, keep the sun off the dining room and the patio area…. Hopefully it’ll get used a lot this year

Very happy with the sturdiness and look. My husband put it together no problem however he trained as an engineer and he said the instruction were limited if you only have basic knowledge. He managed to construct it on his own. Only complaint making it a 4 star there was a couple of small components missing ( now resolved )
