Runic Tarot Deck Cards – April 8, 2023

Wow. Just wow.This deck is absolutely stunning—visually, energetically, and conceptually. It weaves Norse mythology, runic symbolism, and traditional tarot archetypes into something deeply immersive and evocative. Every card feels like a portal.Now, to address something I’ve seen mentioned: the book does give you all the information you need. The only thing I wish they had included was the individual meanings of the runes themselves. But honestly, if you’re drawn to the runes, you can learn them separately through rune stones or study. It’s not a dealbreaker—just something to be aware of.Also—a huge plus for me—the cards shuffle beautifully. They don’t stick together at all, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. The cardstock is high quality with a smooth, easy flow.That said, this is not a beginner deck. If you’re new to tarot, you might feel a little overwhelmed at first. The cards don’t always mirror the classic Rider-Waite-Smith imagery, so you’ll need to take your time learning how the Norse interpretations align with the traditional meanings. I strongly recommend pairing this deck with a more traditional one so you can reference both and start making those connections.But if you’re ready to go deeper—into the stories, the symbols, and the magic—this deck will meet you there and then some. It’s fierce, wise, and otherworldly. Not just a tool, but a journey.

This deck surprised me I've been looking at it for like a year and trying to not spend as much money as I had gotten out of control with buying decks anyway after not buying a deck for a few months I decided to take the plunge and I absolutely love it more than I thought I would. The quality of the cardstock is great and the artwork evokes feeling right away!UPDATE: BEST DECK EVER!!! It reads like a dream and shuffles well, looks AWESOME on camera for reading tarot on my YouTube channel! I have 50 decks or so and this is a real goto deck that will be very well used and loved! Highly recommend!

Amazing art work. They work very well

The cards are beautiful. Exactly as I expected and exactly as described. The cards are a combination of Tarot and Runes. The graphics are beautiful, with a lot of detail. They may not be the most suitable for beginners, but for more experienced readers. As well as experienced Tarot readers, be prepared to get to know the Runes as well, which I think is a good thing, as it is about expanding your knowledge. The cards feel good to the touch, they shuffle well, the size is just right to hold in hands (12 x 7 cm). The storage box is nicely designed, the instruction booklet is small, but contains all the necessary basic information. Delivery was very fast, as much as 5 days ahead of schedule. I do not regret ordering this Deck, I definitely recommend the purchase.

Ok. I will start by saying that I love these cards. The Viking artwork is stunning. That being said I have a little problem with the cardstock. It is highly glossed (I seem to leave fingerprints all over them) and they are a little to thick to do a nice riffle shuffle. Overhand shuffles work beautifully though. I knew the book was not going to be the big colored book from the kit, but I think the information included for each card is good enough to understand. But I really wish that there was more than just one four card spread. And the book renames the cups and pentacle to horns and sheilds ( which I love that idea) but the court cards themselves have the original suit names. So it could be a little confusing for a beginner since this version doesn't have pictures in the book. The box it comes in is a very thick and sturdy. These cards generally follow the RWS system but a few cards deviate from the traditional, but I feel they are easily read intuitively. I would definitely recommend if your a fan of viking artwork. Just keep in mind that they are thick, super glossy and the book only has one spread.

I love these cards. The pictures are beautiful, and i love the nordic style of the artwork. The card stock is sturdy. The only negative I'd say is that since the card stock is sturdy, the cards are very stiff and difficult to shuffle, but I just work with it. I would recommend this deck.

I like these cards for readings of a social or political nature. They may be perceived as “dark” but they are so interesting. Great and creative artwork. I love the Tower card; a fire breathing dragon!
