I like SPDs because I like to be able to walk around a restaurant mid-ride without sounding like I'm wearing tap shoes and without worrying about slipping around. Some places don't like cyclists clomping around their expensive wooden floors. I've never had that problem. These are the best value SPD pedals I have found. They're cheap because they're a bit heavy, not because they skimp on quality.Clipping in and out is never a problem. The last ones lasted about 50,000 miles. I had to replace them because the bearings started to get slack. If you like bicycle touring or club rides, and you're not a racer, these are a good option for you.
