I used this softbox on a wedding shoot a few days after I received it and I am absolutely delighted with the results. I used it outdoors to balance flash with daylight on the wedding party and for some bridal shots.The softbox gave an even light, free from hotspots with nice fall off.Its very easy to assemble, sturdy and well made. Then storage bag provides ample room for the softbox and a Godox S2 Bracket that i use to hold my speedlight.One slight issue, the Bowens bracket rattled slightly despite being properly inserted and the mounting screws tightened. It was a little annoying rattling in the back seat of the car. I sorted it with a ring of 1mm cardboard between the softbox body and the mount. When the Bowen mount is tightened now, no rattles.Bottom line, i wish i knew about this softbox before i wasted a lot of money on inferior ones. i certainly know that i will buy another when its needed.This is another top quality SmallRig product that i cannot recommend highly enough.

I have many modifiers as a creative who uses flash for photography and LED for video work.Recently brought this for it’s quick folding design as I’m always on the with varying assignments. Build quality is fantastic, locks and folds down without fuss.I love it so much for its speed and versatility. In fact I’ve even purchase a profoto ring to use with the flash system as profoto RF octa are too fiddly to erect and collapse on location jobs.Highly recommended, top grade construction and reasonable pricing

Easy and quick soft box to rig and derig. Works very well with a cob light , comes in a handy bag.

The advantage of a softbox is that they create more flattering light for portraits/videography. The bigger the softbox's size (and the closer it is to the subject), the more diffuse the light.There's a lot of debate online whether parabolic softboxes have an advantage over thinner flatter ones (and evidence to suggest they don't when the diffusers are being used). But the advantages of this model are that it's incredibly quick to erect/dissassemble thanks to the external click-in-place struts, the two layers of diffuser ensure soft light (plus a grid to control it if desired), and if you use solely the reflector part you get a very different look and get the advantage of the parabolic shape.SmallRig provides a great carrying case and the built-in Bowens connector means you don't need to buy a separate speedring, which saves on cost.Bear in mind it is a bit weighty - my normal lighting stand needed sandbags and flexed under its weight, so you may need to consider SmallRig's light stand as an add-on. Also bear in mind the depth of the parabolic shape means it takes up more space.

Good softbox, extremely simple and easy to setup and dismantle. My previous Bowens softbox was a pain, and I needed new rods after several uses. This seems really sturdy for the moment, will see how it holds up, but for now I’m very impressed.

This arrived in a substantial box. Inside was a canvas carry bag with a strap that could be used in the hand or lengthened to go over the shoulder.Inside the bag is the soft box, a honeycomb grid, and an internal and an external diffuser.The soft box appears to be extremely well-made with good quality materials. It has a vaguely umbrella like construction but you have to put it on the ground and press into the centre until the ribs click into a locked position. They do so individually rather than all at once. This is not a neat solution, but it’s a lot quicker to have up and running than my Bowen’s soft box. By the way, it has a Bowen’s attachment and so will fit Bowen’s studio flash, and also Bowen’s style adapters made to take a speedlight.The inner diffuser is attached by Velcro tabs, but the tabs in the soft box are vertical and the tabs on the diffuser are horizontal so that attachment is not as easy as it could have been. The external diffuser is a bit smaller than the end diameter of the soft box, so after you’ve gone all the way around securing the velcro you run out of diffuser before you run out of soft box. It’s a small amount, but with attention to these small details of attaching key accessories it would have made this exceptional value for money. My Bowens’ diffuser fits over the end of the soft box and is secured by four flat Velcro tabs. It is quick and easy to attach/detach.To collapse the soft box you need to press with your thumb on each of seventeen small metal tabs that require some effort to push down. This is not comfortable.The softbox itself is great and certainly feels like a quality product and I have no hesitation recommending it. A little attention to the attachment of accessories and the method of collapse would have lifted it to perfect.

Definitely worth the money, Built well and very easy to put together and put away. To quality!! I'm happy.

Genau das Richtige. Kein mühseliges Gestänge zusammen schieben alles wird einfach aufgeklappt bis es einrastet und am Schluss wieder entriegelt und zusammengelegt. Klasse. Tolle Qualität. Ich habe leider noch einige Softboxen im Gebrauch. Sollte ich nochmals bedarf haben was eine Nummer größer angeht werde ich auf alle Fälle auf die D85 zurückkommen.

Softbox de la prestigiosa marca smallrig de alta calidad, ideal para realizar fotografías de estudio con flash o utilizarlo con luz continúa para vídeo. El softbox se recoge y pliega en cuestión de segundos y es algo que me ha gustado, además cuando lo plegamos ocupa muy poco espacio. Junto con el softbox nos llegan dos difusores, una rejilla y una bolsa de almacenaje. Muy contento con el resultado, aunque eso si, es algo caro para tratarse de un solo softbox y teniendo en cuenta que tienes que ponerle tú la luz, pero bueno es lo que valen estas cosas de uso tan profesional.

Je viens d'ajouter le SMALLRIG Softbox Parabolique de 47,2 pouces/120 cm à mon kit et je suis vraiment impressionné. Ce softbox est incroyablement facile à installer et à enlever grâce à son système de dégagement rapide, ce qui est super pratique en plein tournage. Sa taille parabolique est parfaite pour une diffusion douce et uniforme de la lumière, ce qui rend mes prises de vue beaucoup plus professionnelles. En plus, il est super léger et pliable, donc très facile à transporter et à ranger. La qualité de construction semble solide et durable, ce qui est rassurant. C'est un excellent choix pour tous ceux qui cherchent à améliorer leur éclairage de studio ou sur le terrain sans se compliquer la vie. Hautement recommandé !
