Unremarkable fruit, not Passionfruit.
Was expecting something more zingy and stronger in flavour.It is very mild, there’s something almost honey-like about it, the aroma especially, but it’s not as sweet as the sweetness of honey.Texture is good, thick enough to be pleasing and smooth, without running off the spoon, again reminding me of a set darker honey in the way its spreads, but a definite let down in terms of taste.I was planning on using this in baking, but now I will have to combine two flavours as this as the predominant flavour would not be impressive at all. It does add moistness, and is not unpleasant. Also, for the price you do get a big enough jar, but I can’t compliment it any more than that.As the reason for buying is the obvious passionfruit flavour, I think giving this three stars is actually generous.Maybe a two and a half.
