Q: Can this be used with T-corks?

All standard 750mL bottles (10” x 4.25” bottle stand) can be used with a variety of cork sizes including #7, #8, and #9. Since the plunger depth is adjustable, it also works with the Belgian beer bottle corks, champagne bottles with wine corks, and synthetic plastic corks.

Sorry, no. This corker will not handle the 'mushroom' type corks used in sparkling wines and Belgian beer bottles. There used to be a champagne cork attachment for the similar blue floor and bench corkers with the brass jaws but I don't see that it is available to us any more. I suggest you use the white plastic corks and flog them in with a rubber mallet.

As long as you can stabilize the bottle, it can be corked. I have to say, a bottle should be flat on the bottom, otherwise, it would not be able to stand . . .

Q: Getting some tear out at the bottom of the cork. Is there an adjustment that I am missing?

I can't figure out what you mean tear out. Have you tried wetting the corks? All the pressure is on the top of the cork.
