A lovely book
The colour work is all in the jokes and some in the sleeves. The patterns are a mixture of knitted top down and bottom up. Can’t wait to try one

Oh. My. God. STUNNING!
This book is going to sell out fast, so get your copy ASAP - I don't normally put that statement at the beginning of a review, but every pattern in this book is stunning! My Lettlopi, Alafosslopi and Plotulopi stash will be decimated before I even get halfway through this book and will have to order more of it, that I'm certain. The patterns are well written and the photos are gorgeous. This book is all I'm going to be working on this winter.

Not for beginners, but something to buy and aspire to
A truly beautiful book. I loved the stories of the origins of the patterns, and the lovely photographs. I picked one of the simpler patterns with fewer colours to start with, and as I progress, I hope to end up with a fantastic Lopapeysa jumper collection!

Gorgeous....apart from the usual problem.....
A great selection of classic and modern designs with some interesting twists. There are instructions for dyeing yarn at home and a couple of novel techniques. One star lost for the usual problem with these Scandiwegian designs; the yarns specified are not easily available in the UK. The yarn weight is specified and you'll need to experiment with tension squares so it should be reasonably easy to find a substitute. Good value considering the number of designs you get and the instructions are fairly comprehensive. Most patterns are built on a yoke so knitted in one piece from either top or bottom. Size range doesn't go up as large as some design books but most patterns should be easy to scale up. Good for intermediate knitters rather than beginners and great for adding to your skill set. Would make a lovely gift with a bundle of yarn.

Gorgeous sweaters to match the gorgeous countryside.
You will be drooling over the sweaters shown in the book. The patterns are not easy and mostly knitted in the round, but would really be worth theextra effort needed to make up.

Disappointing size range
This is a lovely book with great photos, text and patterns, but the upper limit of the size range is too small, especially given that most of the (adult and unisex) patterns have a top size limit of 47-48" around the chest which is not great given that that measurement has to allow for at least 4" ease. Are Icelandic people typically small? Because an upper limit of 43/44" chest/bust measurement for adult sizing would indicate that. I can probably grade any pattern that I want to use, but I shouldn't have to do that when I pay for a book. This is why it only gets 3 stars, one or two extra sizes and it would have got more.

Lovely
My family have already looked through this book and ordered up their Christmas choices and there are so many to choose from for all ages. I highly recommend this one to stranded knitters.

Dommage. Je vais certainement le renvoyer.
