It's all hardwork
The device was common in old gymnasium s. In its crude form it was a rope tied to a metal pipe. But it didnt have the specific track which was made possible by use of a band instead of rope.

Lower part doesn't fit well to lift it properly.I finnally adjusted with own remedy.
