More Efficient Cooling, Lower Electric Bill Than Expected
Very satisfied with this air conditioner. We're using only one to cool a small apartment, and by placing fans strategically, have been comfortably cool this summer up to 90-degree temps in a sunny, hot, upstairs apartment.Pros:• LOW electricity increase. PG&E bill has only increased by $20, even though we run this 10+ hours several days per week.• One unit has been enough for our 650 sq. ft. apartment so far. We use one fan to blow cool air into the bedroom and another facing outside in the bedroom window to draw air into the room.• Can be used without turning on dehumidifier. Note that it DOES come with a drain hose, which I saw someone ask about.• Easy to move around on carpet.• Remote control is handy.• Easy to set up.• Shipping was faster than promised.Cons:• Fairly noisy, but all air conditioners are. Definitely louder than just a fan.• The included window/door adapter panel for (also included) exhaust hose is too short for sliding-glass door. We taped a strip of Reflectix (thin foil insulation) above the panel. It blows hot air out, so you'll want to order a taller panel or plan to cover the gap with something if venting through a sliding door or window taller than about 36 inches.• Very heavy. The average person would need help carrying this more than a few feet.Overall, we're very pleased with this AC and will buy another if needed when temps exceed 100 degrees in August/September.

Works okay
Was pretty easy to set up and easy to use, though had a bit of difficulty getting panels set in the window opening and ended up using tape to keep it in place. I would actually give it 3.5 stars because while it does cool, it's only a small room area that is cooled and it is quite noisy. It makes a clunk sound when first turning it on. Living in the northwest, most houses don't have, nor usually need, air conditioning, so I like the idea of a portable unit that I can store in off season. With a hotter than ususl summer, I ended up using it several evenings, and was very glad to have it, but not enough to have to drain water from the unit, so I can't comment on that part.

This unit does a good job of keeping the room comfortable
A few years ago we turned our garage into a game room/hang out area for our kids. We added insulation and covered the garage door, but it still gets too hot to use in the summer. This unit does a good job of keeping the room comfortable. It won't get cold, but keeps it cool enough the kids can hang out and use the room. It is a typical 2 car garage, and we live in an area where summer temps are usually in the high 90's.We have been using this for two hot summer months. If it is under 95 outside, it does a good job at keeping our garage cool/comfortable. If it is 100 or above, it isn't able to cool the entire room, but if it is pointing at you while you are sitting on a couch watching a movie, you stay comfortable. Keep in mind this is in our garage. While we did add insulation in the attic and cover the garage door, it isn't insulated like the rest of the house, so I would imagine others would get better results than we are, but considering our situation we are very happy.

Probably the best portable AC units you’ll find for $250
For $250 price point your not going to find a better portable AC unit. Not sure if I’m incredibly unlucky but both units I ordered seem to rattle. I tolerate the rattle because the units are inexpensive. So far, cooling wise, they work well.

Easy to use
Works great it been almost are about 2 years. A little loud maybe a 5 out of 10 being the loudest. Make sure you are cleaning the filter in the back of the cooler if not it will cause it to cut off randomly or generate a louder sound than normal. You will also notice the air wont blow as cool. The air is cold, it will keep a normal sized room cool with door closed. hope this helps! enjoy

Run from this product don’t walk!!!!!
Worse item I ever purchased . It’s been on 78 for the past 3 hours and I have it down to 62 which is the lowest. Worst set up ever, I had to tape my panel to the window in order for the hose to stay in place. I am in a 150 sq ft room. This product is a fraud on their description of this product that they sold me on. Lies, lies and more Lies!!! I wish I can give negative stars. I am going back to Haier product. I had one for 12 years never had a problem. I wanted a smaller one and I got duped. Shame, Shame and more shame. Question for amazon why don’t you have a testing room for products before selling them. I am so aggravated. Now I have to deal with a heavy return. BTW cheap , cheap and cheap plastic hose! I am done and mad! Can you believe the reviews on this item. I looked at them and made a decision to purchase and I feel I was duped on them too, something is just not right here. That’s all I am saying! ; (

Worth Every Penny!
Hi y’all! I was so scared of how high my electric bill would be with an AC unit (this year is my first apartment without central air), but honestly it wasn’t that much of a difference! I live in top floor apartment in an old apartment building and a concrete dense city—-so I mean it gets HOTTTTT! The AC unit would cool down my room super fast! I love the fact that the unit has wheels! I just roll it to other parts of my apartment as desired—whether cooking in the kitchen or watching a movie in my living room—-I kept cool! I never drilled any apart of the window fixture in permanently since I wanted the flexibility to move my AC to different rooms. I just taped it securely to my window!

Decent for the price
Unit is a bit noisy, but tolerable. I customized the installation with aluminum flex ducting, aluminum flanges for the hose, and aluminum backed bubble wrap insulation taped to the vent hose. The purpose is to insulate the exhaust duct as it gets warm and the excess heat will get re-radiated back into the room if you do not add insulation. I also purchased some insulated foam board for the vertical sliding window in my east-facing bedroom & attached two hoses to each of the drain line, with a small bucket to catch the drain water.
