Yes there is a long tradition of Naval and Marine Corp personnel crossing the equator.
It's too bad that there is no more pins available. Many people have stopped me and questioned me about the meaning of the pin and so many people doesn't know of some of the long traditions that the Navy has practiced over the years. The pin is a little to large for a hat pin but makes a good lapel oin.
