ALDON Innovating Science Understanding Blood Type Interactions Through Simulated Blood Typing - Refill

Product is as shown, a refill for a previously purchased kit for a student project in forensic science class lab. Results are consistent and I’ll buy again when needed.

The kit works okay. I know B tends to take a while to agglutinate but this took forever. I was able to mix AB from the samples but it did require double the amount of anti-B in order to agglutinate and really show a positive result. Definitely a cool kit as an intro to bloodtyping but no where near a high quality scale. It'll get the point across but I will be trying an alternate kit instead when I need to reup reagents. The fact that I wouldn't repurchase is the reason for the 3 stars. This kit comes with zero instructions since it is just a refill but I recommend 2 drops of antiserum for every drop of simulated blood. (200 uL antiserum for 100 uL blood)

The serums did not react like they were supposed to with the samples. No change occurred with any of the "blood samples", no matter how long I waited.

Was hard to see the blood coagulate in the serum.

Easy to understand instructions. I wish it would have been more dramatic for the students. It was more interesting when we looked at it under a microscope.

Not what I expected.
