This hat has been better than I expected. I live in the upper Midwest and do a decent amount of winter running. It seems thin but after your body heats up from a few miles it provides just enough warmth. I’ve used it on short runs and even a 50k ultra and sometimes found myself overheating. Good hat.

I needed a lightweight beanie for my thru hike and this seemed like a good fit. The first thing that stood out to me was the fact that it was listed in the description as being 100% wool. This is not the case and Amazon has since corrected it to show the right blend percentages.It's unexpectedly thin and light, but performs well enough. In the below freezing temperatures high in the Smokies it left a little to be desired, but in combination with the hood of a puffy jacket it provided just what my head needed to stay warm at night. While sitting still in the cold it doesn't do much, but it's an added buffer and can even become hot while moving with it on.

Love this for a little extra warmth underneath my cowboy hat or for a little something when there's slight chill but not cold enough you want something heavy and overheat. Great fit!

Good looking, feels good on the head. Warm for such a lightweight item.
