Good for the price of improving performance to an old PC
I found a second ram slot available to use while I had the other slot occupied. I decided to get this ram stick since it matched with the one the PC had and when I installed it and booted up the computer, nothing happened. At first I thought the ram stick was defective until I did some troubleshooting and found out the ram slot in particular was having an issue. After trying everything with just the ram slot, I went to the CPU and after taking it out, I noticed a pin on the CPU socket was bent out of placed. After using some tiny tweezers to get the pin back in place, I turned the computer on again and it recognized the ram slot and the ram stick and works just fine now. Always check those socket pins or CPU pins. Depending on your motherboard, it could be either but not both.

Good Ram from Good Company
This ram chip works perfectly. The first company I bought it from didn't fit my computer so I took out an existing chip and copied all the information. I had looked up the ram I would need for my desktop and the information I found online was incorrect, so I highly recommend taking out the chip from your computer or doing a scan from crucial or another company to determine correct product. For some reason, a scan of my old PC (Windows 7) didn't work but after I installed Windows 10 with this new Samsung chip, it worked. I'm a big fan of Samsung products and am leery of unknown companies so I tend to go with name brands.

Exactly what was ordered. They work great.
The modules were individually packaged in static resistant bags and padding in individual shipping bags. When removed and installed they worked perfectly. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The price for these modules is great.

Worked for a Dell Vostro 230
Dell Vostro 230 - Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz, if that matters to anyone reading this review.Specs say this old thing is max 4 Gig, and user reports said it was hit or miss upgrading any further. After researching the various sticks, I took a chance on these and they worked fine. Have been running the machine for a month or so with no issues.Obviously not the sexiest machine out there, but it is rock stable and I only use it for finances etc. Bumping up the memory gives W10 a little more breathing room and lets me put off replacement for another year or so.

I purchased these to upgrade my Dell OptiPlex 990 to 16GB total. Installation is literally a snap and the memory works great.
