Officemate Recycled 2-in-1 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser, 1" and 3" Cores, Black (96690)

I hesitated buying a dedicated wide tape dispenser, but I was fed up with wrecking strips of tape from the cheap plaster cutting spool included with rolls. This is pricey, but WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! With slots for wide and common width tape and enough weight to keep its feet firmly planted, this is a mainstay atop my desk now. It's very sturdy, nicely molded and makes cutting tape easy.The only issue was due to its weight. It was delivered battered. The box was torn and cobbled together with a piece of tape stating HEAVY (explanation, excuse or warning, guys?) But the tape dispenser survived unmarred!!! The sorry delivery made the dispenser even more impressive.

Where has this been all my life? It's heavy so it doesn't scoot around when pulling the tape, it's durable, and it's convenient! I love that I can have my tapes together in one unit, plus have room for my scissors and pens. Highly recommended!

A very comfortable and useful office supply. It has a reasonable weight and structure. It’s convenient to use with two different sizes of tape together, and it has a suitable holder where you can place pencils, glue, or scissors. Out of all the tape dispensers I’ve used so far, this one is the best.

OK, I run a pretty heavy shipping based business. At one point I was shipping out 20 packages a day via the postal service. Now I ship MUCH larger orders in large boxes via UPS, hundreds of items in each box--I know a thing or two about tape dispensers.Here is a free tip for anyone in ecommerce: Invest in the highest quality possible for items you will be using several times a day. Printers, ink cartridges, tools for cutting and resizing boxes, tape, scales (always have an extra), and in my opinion the MOST important tool--a high quality tape dispenser.The amount of time that can be wasted using a crappy tape dispenser is crazy. Seriously. When you are taping boxes shut, say five 25x25x25 boxes a day--that is a TON of tape. When the tape breaks, when it goes on crooked, when it tears crooked--that all takes TIME. Every minute you waste fixing an avoidable tool error is a waste of money. I do not have an extra 5 minutes per box to fight with my tape dispenser because the roll popped out and now it is twisted on itself, or it fell on the floor, or the teeth arent sharp enough to make a clean tear and now I have to restart the roll.This tape dispenser is pretty much indestructible. It is a BEAST! It is heavy--heavy enough that it can hold a box flap down while YOu tape--this is SUCH a help if you are processing an order or shipment alone! This dispenser does not slide across the table as you pull tape off--so it doesnt fall and twist up your tape! It cuts straight and clean every single time--so I dont have to rip it apart and restart the roll. It holds my scissors so I can trim down shipping labels and black markers for scribbling out bar codes. It does everything but ask for a paycheck.To sum up I was WILD when Spouse purchased this. It is a pretty expensive little tape holder. But we are now 6 years later and this has been used thousands and thousands of times and it has never failed us. I love this far more than my tape gun, if I had to repurchase all my shipping tools this would be my FIRST item to buy!

This is a perfect combo of a tape dispenser providing a 1 and 3 inch core for tape. The base is hefty and heavy.The cutting blade isn’t very good or perhaps it’s not positioned high enough. I am using a heavy duty packing tape and it requires two hands to get a piece of tape cut with the cutting blade.

I didn’t know how much I needed this!!! Life-changing. Completely changed my relationship with packaging tape! Sooo sturdy and easy to use with one hand holding the box in place, and the other tearing, placing and pushing down the tape. Also very helpful to have a roll of scotch (or whatever smaller roll you want) right next to it. I now look forward to using packaging tape, as shipping/organizing is so much more efficient and enjoyable - sooo fast and easy!!! Do not hesitate to buy this. It will actually improve your life - likely much more than you could imagine!!!

Simple , does the job, weighty so it does not fly off the table when pulling tape off roll, will buy again
