Frontier organic dried onions are category leaders. The product must be dried quickly following harvest and packaged in hermetic containers. It is so fresh tasting and the onion flavor is an absolute standout. There are some recipes where the need for intense onion flavor weighs in favor of using these dehydrated onions rather than fresh. I am appreciative that such a quality product can be purchased at a value price on Amazon. We have repeatedly purchased this item. Highly recommended.

Easy to use. Dehydrated. Texture and flavor are fine. So glad not to chop, cry and wash knives.

I didn't know what to expect with this item. So I was pleased at the odor when I cut into the bag. They smell great.They re-hydrate just fine. Like it says - about 30 minutes.Using them: I was surprised at how small the bits are. At first I thought they'd grow as re-hydrated. They did, but not a lot. So I would call them a little bigger than bits, but not pieces. Which is perfect for when you need bits, or don't care.My first use was with diced potatoes. I knew I was going to overcook the onions if I started with them and added the potatoes. So I saved the little onion bits for the last couple minutes. And that worked out for my preferences. The onions were sweet, flavorful, and had a really nice hydrated texture.The 2nd time I tried to replicate my potatoes and onions. And I put the onion bits in to the frying pan too soon. I obliterated them - cooked the hydration out entirely, and had these black flakes in the pan with virtually no flavor. I cooked them to death. Potatoes were fine.I can't say whether these onions come in different sizes depending on random circumstances at Frontier Co-op. Doubt it. But I saw another review describe bigger onion pieces than I got. I like these little bits. And since I'm wanting to experiment with dehydrating veggies & fruits I'll make my own bigger sizes if I think I need that.I give this enthusiastic thumbs up. Very pleased with these dried/dehydrated onions.

I think the onion pieces are a good size that does not go through strainers. The quality is good but I wish the package could be resealed.

These works really well I took him out of that bag I saved my little container sometimes and I put it in my little food container and they swelled up really good if you're not going to cook them you know I don't know if something like putting something on top like a pizza with it bake up right but if you're going to do something like that you might need to soak them in water for a little bit to use them but when I just put it in hot stuff that I'm using it they they come right out you know but these were good and it was good size I recommend it thank you

This is the second time I’ve purchased these minced onions. They have the sweetest flavor! Better than any other brand I’ve tried and buying in bulk is by far the best bang for your buck. I refill my spice jar and put the rest of the bag inside a ziploc bag and store it in the pantry.

We love these organic dried onions, in place of fresh in some of our favorite meals. Have been using them for many years, bought through Vitacost. It was even better to find them on Amazon, quick and easy! Love the sealed bag. They last really good in a small mason jar and the rest left in the original cryo bag, sealed up w/o excess air. Great price on Amazon too. Try them and you will know what great flavor they add to your favorite meals, you won’t be disappointed!!
