finally got tired of paying Xfinity’s monthly modem/router rental fee and bought this — I wish I had done it sooner. I was nervous about the setup, but the app that comes with it made everything super straightforward. It walked me through each step, and I was up and running in no time.I’ve had this for over a year now and it’s been rock-solid — no drops, slowdowns. It’s fast, reliable, and already paid for itself just by avoiding rental fees.

Never bought one of these before so I was nervous. But it worked out good. The app is horrible and isn't available on my phone so that sucks. The speed is pretty good. It reboots fast and is compatible with my wifi service. The range goes thoughtout my whole apartment.

This was supposed to be a remanufactured, excellent condition router/modem combo.Purchased to replace an existing one of a different brand that's over 10yrs old, still works just thought it was time for an upgrade.I spent over 2 hours with my cable company messaging than speaking on the phone. This was supposed to take less than 10 minutes.First the QR code was not scanning. Tried 2 different phones for set up. It was a new QR sticker, looked fine, wasn't readable by 2 phones. Tried manual set up. Mac code would not be accepted after numerous tries. After messaging and talking to cable company, having multiple signals sent, swapping coaxal cables, and trying everything else possible the modem would not go online. Most likely something missed when it was re manufactured. It was in excellent condition, looked brand new. Not a scratch on it. Not for any reason would it connect online. Tried multiple locations in the home. Put old modem back and it worked instantly no issues. So a remanufactured like new, excellent condition couldn't hold up to my old one.Cable tech said this brand always seems to have an issue one way or another. They said 9 out of 10 people, brand new, or remanufactured there's always an issue one way or another with this brand.Gonna stick to the old brand when I get another. Works after 10yrs when this one wouldn't work on day 1. Guy said there's a reason there remanufactured and in new condition. There not working brand new so they need to be fixed and they still don't work.Don't make a mistake and purchase this brand. Now I have to go through the hassle of a return.

Bought Refurbished:Works with Spectrum Internet.WiFi Speed is good for YouTube and browsing.Ethernet ports quit working after 2 weeks...Motherboard is good.ISP is good.Couldn't get tech support from Arris due to expired warranty.I decided to factory reset the modem, restart the PC, and the Ethernet worked again...?Mind you, I didn't touch any router settings prior to the loss of Ethernet.I wonder if the processing chips are not getting enough cooling?Used to be 2 Stars due to issue, became 4 after fiddling/fix.Will return it for a standalone router by TP-Link, the lack of free tech support is a minus for me.

Like most people who have worked in those fields, I am both fascinated by and worried about Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and the threat they present for hacking my network and private computing systems.This cable modem/router combination allowed me to implement a solution that will help isolate our home's personal computing tools from our many IoT devices. It was reasonably easy to install, about the same hassle as any cable modem installation plus the same kind of hassle any basic home-user oriented WiFi router presents. I did not have any problems with it being a refurbished product.My only complaint about this modem/router combo is the router software is pretty basic and both the administrator's Web interface and smartphone app are a pain in the butt to use. The software offers few to no router security settings beyond passwords/passkey settings and port forwarding options.This router has both wireless N and 5G networks and two wired Ethernet ports. The wireless router and one of its wired Ethernet ports support our network's "untrusted" devices, like guest's laptops and phones, smarthome plugs and light switches, several Alexa smart speakers, TVs, Kindles, smart robot vacuums, and more. The second Ethernet port connects to a secondary router and firewall (a Mikrotik hEX RB750Gr3 5-port Ethernet Gigabit Router, also available on Amazon) that supports and hides our personal computing platforms from IoT hackers.Xfinity Cable. . Modem and router, easy to set, great wifi distance. I use this one with a new Xfinity service.

Not compatible with Spectrum. I’m returning mine, be aware since this change just recently happened and as of now it still says Spectrum compatible on Amazon.

Works for TV ONLY IN MY CASE. . After adding a landline whent back to another model.
